The camp host was nice, April. However, this place is a mess. Mostly the people who were there were people who were live in a ten on a perm basis. During the middle of the night, a few cars drove thru and was collecting cans out of the trash. There was no toilet paper in the bathrooms and were not the cleanest. I really didn’t feel that it was a secure area. About 200 yds from the camp, was a homeless enclave. I would not stay here again. Good location, but I would chose another area.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. We are a fairly small campground with 7 full hook up RV spaces and 57 tent spaces. Its unfortunate that going camping in today's time in a tent suggests that a person is homeless. One of the beauties of being a camp host is that you are surrounded by a diverse group of people. We have a lawyer, pear workers, a temp working in the area, completing the new Marshalls coming to Lakeport, a painter and a few just in here to enjoy the location and the outdoors. I am shocked to here the restrooms where not the cleanest they are cleaned every morning, especially with the number of guest with us. I would have loved to provide you with toilet paper if perhaps you called me to let me know. Our gates do not close at night and to hear that people are coming in to get cans out of the trash does concern me. I appreciate your review and hope that your next experiance is a much better one. Safe travels.

This is a beautiful place with a great view of the Lake and many nearby places to eat and a lot of quaint little shops. I used to live there 35 years ago and it holds so many memories for me. Ruby is the manager and she is just a wonderful person and very caring and helpful. Doug.is the camp host and he too is very nice and helpful. See you soon Ruby.😊😊👍👍

Units were flooded. Only 3 other guests were there and they seemed like they lived there and didn’t feel safe. I called the office but no one returned my calls. We ended up getting a hotel instead.

This property has great potential, but is in need of serious maintenance. The one working restroom for the entire park only allows for one user at a time (toilet & showers). Not sure what happened to the picnic tables, but our site didn't have one, so we moved one from an adjacent site.
