Park manager was amazing couldn’t ask for a nicer couple. Very helpful. Was listed as full hookups and it’s not. No sewage at site. Men’s bathroom shower floods the whole bathroom and then drips water for hours under the building. A little pricy for what you get. WiFi works if you’re very close to it.

The people make the difference. And the restrooms were spectacular. I know that sounds silly as we’re in our RV, but sometimes you just want a full size shower experience and these were amazing. Our hosts were the best people, even helping replace a broken rv window for us. While you have to know and understand where this is located, the people made the difference

Campground Response

Thank you so much for the excellent review as we strive to go above and beyond to make our guest comfortable and relaxed! We hope you enjoyed your stay and was able to meet up with your son for an amazing reunion!!

If I could give zero, I would for deceptive advertising on the resort’s webpage. We camped here in mid November. The resort’s Facebook ad and webpage stated “Come for the food, stay for the views,” announced its grand opening and bragged about the state of the art resort facilities. We arrived late and saw what appeared to be an incomplete park blocks away from a huge refinery with the only views being lights and stacks at refinery and a small ferry dock. The building that housed the restaurant, store and checkin was very nice but the restaurant was not yet operating and the store had some supplies but nothing extensive (we had planned to try the restaurant but ended up buying boudin, which was tasty, which we could mix with a can of beans that we already had in the camper). I will say the two staff persons in the store did best they could to try and help and they were in no way at fault for promising things that were not in place (e.g., fabulous dining and complete destination experience). The 30 amp connection at our site did not work so we could only find something that could be cooked on the propane stovetop. In addition, only the men’s room was open but since we were the only ones there, it was adequate. We stayed only one night ( would have left but it was late and very far from any other facilities). Clearly not worth the price paid or really any price since it should not have been open for business yet. Likely in the near future, this resort might merit 3- 4 stars for what promises to be amazing facilities but know that this destination will be best for those loving fishing and bayou experiences in an isolated setting. You might go for the food when the restaurant actually opens, but can’t imagine how they can brag on the views given the location next to the refinery.

Only on in park on 11/7/2023. Hope to be back again.. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Enjoyed seeing the dolphins off the pier. Beautiful sun set. Nice store with great waffles!

Overall the rv pack was great. I do find that for 50$ it should be full hookup and not have to hold sewage.

Overall facilities are very nice. Still some kinks needs to be worked out because is still new. Showers need to be fixed because shower heads were put on before flushing the lines. Only somewhat complaint I have but this is a minor fix. Love the boat docks and fish cleaning stations. Overall Great Place!! Great location for fishing the Jetties or Lake.

Nice park for a relaxing stop. Roads and rv pads are crushed limestone. Park will be really nice when the grass has had a chance to grow in. Definitely a new park. Well lit at night. Has a covered pavilion and nice restroom/shower facilities. Store across the street that they are just finishing and a boat ramp and pier within easy walking distance.
