Explore the natural beauty of the Tennessee Valley in a pastoral farm setting surrounded by the beauty & grace of llamas. The Lazy Llama Campground is a unique new family owned and operated campground in Northeast Tennessee. The campground is part of a 22-acre llama farm which is home to over 40 llamas and various other livestock including miniature donkeys and friendly emus. It features 31 campsites nestled among several large 40+ year-old maple trees. Most of the sites are big-rig friendly including six 35' x 75'-100' pull-through accessible. The park provides free excellent WiFi (150 mbps), sewer, water, and 50/30/20 amp electrical service at all sites. We are pet-friendly of course with large green space to walk your dogs. Unique Activities The park includes llama trails through the woods and pastures for walking among the animals on the farm, Storytelling Llama Hikes, and llama activities. The park is considered "artsy" with spinning, weaving, drawing, painting, stained glass classes offered each weekend by the resident artist and co-owner, Ms. Carolyn. Come join us with your tiny house on 10 acres of beautiful mountain views on the Cherokee National Forest. We are a year-round, full time living, community with a salt water pool, onsite laundry facility and a catch and release fish pond. We also offer shower and bath facilities along with primitive camping, so if your company can’t fit in your tiny house, they can come visit anyway! Tell them to pack a tent! We also welcome artists and performers for community entertainment at the pavilion. We are 5 minutes from one of the most desirable waterfalls in the Greenville area, Margarette Falls. We are 15 minutes from Tusculum college, shopping, groceries and restaurants in Greenville, TN. We are also 45 minutes from Johnson City and one hour from Sevierville and Pigeon Forge area. Sherry has owned Old Mountain Campground since 2008, which she built with her late husband. She lives on site and provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere, as well as a feeling of security to residences. Her newest vision is to see a tiny house community on the property. Sites are available with private atmosphere for tiny houses. All spots provide water and septic and electricity is paid by tiny house dweller. Four 30 amp sites are available currently with more to come. So bring a neighbor or two with you! 50 amp sites can be discussed upon request. Sites are $325 a month and electric is .15 per KWH.
