Summit RV Park is an RV park located on 9800 Santa Fe Trail Drive in Trinidad, CO. We have both Back-In and Pull Through Sites with full 30/50/110 amp hookups and wifi.  Our park is walking distance to very popular restaurants. Camping at the Sugarite Canyon is a real treat for a number of reasons. For one, the natural terrain is absolutely captivating. Enjoy the views of the cliffs and forests that are speckled with dozens of shades of green and earthy browns. That being said, get ready for some excellent hiking and biking opportunities, and if you don't see a path, go out there and make one! Hunting and horseback riding is also common, as is wildlife viewing. Keep an eye out for birds, butterflies and plenty of curious deer. At an elevation of over 6,000 feet, campers can also look forward to cool breezes, and clear skies for stargazing. 

Located near Sugarite Canyon is the Lake Alice Campground and is one of the most picturesque campgrounds int he area. Settle into the cozy groove of the natural terrain, where you can look forward to tall, thick forestry and tranquil waters. If you're looking for an adventure, this is the perfect spot, with tons of water activities like boating, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and swimming. There's also spectacular trails around the water, so be prepared to brave some challenging hiking and biking paths. Also be sure to look at dawn and dusk to enjoy the iconic New Mexico skies, and the beautiful reds and oranges that light up the sky. 

At an elevation of over 7,000 feet, the Ponderosa Horse Campground is the perfect place for a nice, cool getaway into the mountains of New Mexico. The site is located between Lake Alice and Lake Maloya in Sugarite Canyon, and is just 6 miles from the Bandelier National Monument, meaning there's tons to do and see, and lots of natural terrain to explore. The town of Los Alamos is also close by for your shopping needs, and there are museums, theaters and even an ice rink near the campground. Of course, be sure to explore the numerous hiking trails while you're there!

The Valve Tenders Group Campground is located in Raton, in Sugarite Canyon. Soak in the gorgeous views of the canyon as well as the sunrises over Lake Alice off in the distance, and fall in love with New Mexico all over again. There's plenty to do, so get ready for hiking, biking and lots of water sports like boating, swimming and fishing. You can also go horseback riding here, and go rock climbing along the canyon. The Soda Pocket Campground is located in Sugarite Canyon, New Mexico and is surrounded by exquisite, blooming wildflowers. These wildflowers pop up among the beautiful hiking trails, amphitheater and nearby lake. The area is known for its thriving fauna as well, so keep an eye out for hummingbirds and deer while you're there. With the lake nearby, take advantage of water sports such as cruising, swimming, kayaking and of course, plenty of fishing. And at the end of a long day, look up at the sky for the stargazing New Mexico visitors can't get enough of.

The Gambel Oak Group Campground is located in the Sugarite Canyon and as the name suggests, is filled with spectacular gambel oaks and other beautiful trees. Look forward to hiking the natural landscape and exploring nearby areas like Lake Alice with tons of opportunities for water sports. Take your line out to the lake side for some stellar fishing, or go swimming, cruising or kayaking. To truly appreciate the park, make sure to chat with the rangers and learn from them the ins-and-outs of the canyon. Ask them about the best trails and picnic areas, as well as the best spots for stargazing. 

Ponil Campground is located in northern New Mexico at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. We feature full 30/50 amp electric hookup sites along with tent sites for those seeking something a little more different. Visitors have access to bath houses and laundry facilities. Given our convenient location, we are only a few hours drive to iconic New Mexico spots like Taos, Santa Fe, Angel Fire, Eagles Nest and Red River. Take day trips from the campground to visit casinos, do some shopping and enjoy local fine dining, while also taking in the exquisite desert vistas on your drive. In the area surrounding the campsite, you can enjoy art galleries, local foods and a grocery store for your convenience. Hunting, fishing, back packing, 4 wheeling, horse back riding and golfing are some of the things you can do in this part of New Mexico! Whether its for a day or two, we hope to see you soon!
