Easily Book Campgrounds and RV Parks in Tulsa, OK

About Tulsa

Tulsa, the second largest city in Oklahoma, is located on the Arkansas River and at the foot of the Ozark Mountains in the northeast region of the state. Locals and visitors alike know the area as Green Country. What does this mean for RVers in search of scenic campgrounds near Tulsa? You’re in luck! There are four campsites within city limits and dozens more in a 40- to 50-mile vicinity.

What’s so great about spending time at Tulsa RV parks, though, is that you will be at the doorstep of several Tulsa casinos, including Osage Casino Tulsa, Sand Springs, River Spirit Casino Resort, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and Cherokee Casino Inn located 20 minutes to the west in Catoosa. But for a night you won’t soon forget, drive your motorhome just over 30 miles south to Duck Creek Casino in Beggs. The popular Tulsa RV Ranch is just a few minutes up the road, and you don’t even have to leave the region where a cluster of Tulsa campgrounds are conveniently located.

In 2012, the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) published a report indicating that 54% of RVers bring pets on the road, and of those pet-loving travelers, 92% have at least one pooch in tow. If this sounds like you, then Beggs, OK, where Tulsa RV Ranch is located, is the town for you. One local park, Hunter Park’s Biscuit Acres “bark park” is as dog-friendly as it gets. But even if you don’t have a pup, Hunter Park covers 71-acres and has picnic tables, a playground, fishing pond, basketball courts and walk and jog trail. It’s a great place to enjoy the outdoors where the average annual temperature is 60-degrees.

Once you’ve tired-out your pets and played as much blackjack as you can take, plan to stop at Sapulpa, your halfway point back to Tulsa from Beggs. Here, you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities on Lake Sahoma, like boating in the spring and summer; year-round fishing; teal duck and geese hunting through the fall. Plus, seniors and kids under 16 years old hunt for free.
