Easily Book Campgrounds and RV Parks in Fargo, ND

About Fargo

Fargo RV parks and campgrounds exist both within the city and around the outskirts of the metro area. I-94 is close to many popular RV parks and campgrounds running through the western edge of the state, at Medora and Theodore Roosevelt National Park, to the capital (Bismarck), and into Fargo along the banks of the Red River. Some of the more popular spots to set up camp around Fargo are at West Fargo parks and Moorhead parks, across the river in Minnesota. These sites tend to fill up early, especially by summertime, especially with RVers who want easy access to the city and natural areas of North Dakota and Minnesota.

Fargo RV enthusiasts can enjoy a weekend, or even a full week, going to the Detroit Lakes area of Minnesota, about 30 minutes east of town. At Detroit lake camping sites, sportsman (and women) can start their day angling and then explore area restaurants. Or just put on your hiking shoes or grab your two-wheeler and head to Frank State Wildlife Management Area, Smoky Hills State Forest, and the White Earth Reservation.

Be sure to check out Bonanzaville, USA, which is a grouping of nearly fifty historic buildings that collectively form a museum. The Fargo Air Museum offers military and civilian aircraft history and interactive exhibits. The Red River Zoo has rare red pandas, and the Roger Maris Museum celebrates the life of the soft-spoken Fargo native and baseball legend who was the first (or by some measures, the only) person to break Babe Ruth’s single season home run record.
