This tiny town in Idaho meets at the crashing of two rivers – the South and Middle Forks. This tiny town is also tucked among a few national forests, and sits adjacent to an indian reservation. There are plenty of outdoor places to find an adventure. Kooskia is also a short drive to the Washington State, which offers up its own set of outdoor adventures. After a day exploring this northwestern town, head over to on of the local campgrounds or RV Parks.

Home to Trapper Peak and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness area, Bitterroot National Forest is one of the most beautiful areas in Idaho. The forest contains the Sapphire Mountains, and flows along the Salmon River. Anaconda-Pintler and Frank Church River of No Return are also wildernesses in this picturesque forest – the wildernesses are only allowed to be accessed by foot and horseback. Hunting is allowed throughout the park. Hiking trails flow through deep canyons and coniferous, flowing amongst the Douglas-Firs and Ponderosa Pines. There are Kooskia campgrounds and some of the best RV Parks in Idaho.

Just to the south is the Payette National Forest. The park has miles of hiking trails, and streams and rivers – it is a great place to fish and hunt.
