The cabins are a great choice if you don't own a camper or even if its a long ways to pull a camper. I only wish that the bedding and such comes with the price changed.

We thought the hosts were a little standoffish when we saw them. In the past we have been greeted and welcomed but this past weekend it felt like we were an inconvenience pulling in at supper time on Friday night. Not the Iowa nice we are expecting.

Campground Response

Oh Marcie, we are so sorry! That is never our intention. None of our campers are ever an inconvenience. We enjoy all of them. Our sincere apologies. It is our intention to welcome everyone like family. I guess we all have oops moments. Again please accept our apologies.

The park was great!! However the fact that you have to register for holiday weekend months in advance is hard. Life changes. We had to pay for a spot we couldn’t use as we found out on Wednesday that our Grandson had baseball games in Des Moines on Friday and Saturday. (He did not play fall ball when we registered for spot in January). My daughter had cabin rented for weekend. My granddaughter fell in gym class on Thursday and broke her ankle so wasn’t able to come. A couple from her family came but it just didn’t turn out to be the weekend we’d planned

HD a great weekend. Only complaint was I lost $16 making the reservations the 1st of the year. I mistakenly booked a wrong site. Went in and canceled but was charged $16 or $17 because if it.

Campground Response

Mary if that ever happens again please call the camp directly to make the change. We can sometimes avoid that from happening.

Beautiful park and campground. We stayed for a week and it was peaceful and quiet during the week days. Walked several trails and paved bike paths. We loved the small towns in the area and drove around several of them.

We absolutely LOVE camping at wilder park but really getting sick of how we get treated when we are there by the camp hosts. Always feel like we are targeted and can’t even have a relaxing weekend stay cause we are constantly being watched or accused of something.

This was our second stay in Eagle Cabin at Wilder Park. When our granddaughter walked in, she commented, "I forgot how nice this cabin is!" We agree. Having the option to pay for bedding and towels is a good idea to save costs for us. We were not able to use the TV because we couldn't figure out how to get the Amazon PIN on our account, but the internet was fast. We were there to enjoy nature so that wasn't a big deal for us. Thanks for providing this beautiful park right here in Butler County!

GORGEOUS campground! Immaculately maintained! Friendliest camp hosts! We have decided Wilder Park is the most beautiful and best campground - after over four months of travel across the country and back - Wilder is our favorite. We would definitely return!

Campground Response

Pamela we loved having you and your husband in the park. Our camp host Gary and Michelle loved having you in the park and hearing about your travels. Thanks for enjoying our little piece of heaven
