Marion Michigan is located on M-66 just southeast of Cadillac, in Central Northern Michigan. We are a small rural community nestled in the heart of some of Michigan's finest recreational lands.

Veteran's Memorial Park boasts an exceptional, full-service campground, situated on the Middle Branch River Walk. The Middle Branch River is a designated trout stream where Brown and Brook trout are a test of the angler's skills. In addition to trout, pan fish, bluegill, bass, and walleye can be found in area lakes and streams. There is a grocery store and gas stations/party stores and restaurants within walking distance of the campground. The park offers a children's playground, a large basketball court, pavilions, baseball/softball fields, and a disc golf course.

We had a very good time at your campground with the exception of the neighborhood on lot #30 left her dogs feces all over where we had to walk to connect, dump and disconnect our unit. It was disgusting.

We have been frequent campers at this campground for several years, always after boondocking for the 4th of July Holiday spent with family. We have always enjoyed our stay here in the past with the full hook up. The first morning of our stay I was awakened at 8:30 by a lawnmower right outside my windows, now I understand it was a Monday and the grass needs to be cut, but given that we didn't check in until 19:30 the previous day thought maybe that could have been taken care of prior to our arrival. (We were the first campsite in that row. The campers next to us said no one was camped in our spot for several days) Also our site (camp side) was not mowed until the next day, after we put up with long grass and dog poop around our fire pit area , mind you the park Manager delivered the fire pit to us upon our arrival so not sure how he didn't see it. (We did not complain about the dog poop to the Manager, the campers next door who did have two dogs graciously picked it up for us (whether it was their dogs or not I do not know) but they did remove it and we chit chatted for awhile very nice people. During our 2nd day, we reserved 3 days, around 11:00 Marion City water Dept showed up and told us they needed to shut the water off to put in water meters! (I will post the pics of our site, if I can) so needless to say we left a day early because of the proximity of the digging and work crews to our camper, and no water! BTW we were not informed of this work to be done at all!! I did call the Manager of the campground and left a voicemail, never called back but I did approach him as he was picking up trash bags...he was very hostile at first, but he did call down after complaining about alot of stuff happening at this campground, I honestly felt bad for him because he was beyond frustrated....so not to add to his frustration we just decided to leave early. Not sure if we'll go back???
