The Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort is located in Cottonwood, Arizona and is known for its expansive mountain backdrop, desert plains all around and warm weather. Campers can look forward to scenic spots all around, and plenty of history and culture to enjoy; when you go, bring your camera to capture the Red Rocks, Mingus Mountains and Hackberry Mountains, as well as the rich geological landscape around the Verde River. On the river itself, you can look forward to fishing and kayaking, and there's also plenty of nature trails to hike and mountain bike. Many guests visit to do activities like mini-golf or just enjoy the sauna/hot tub, so if that's you, you'll love the facilities at this resort! And of course, the beautiful town of Jerome with its Ghost Town and the artsy city of Sedona is nearby. Amenities at the campground include: a recreation room, walking trails, pet area, playground, pool access, showers, restrooms, tent camping, pull thrus, big rig access, water, sewerage, WIFI and 30/50 amp sites. See you soon!

This is a Thousand Trails/Encore Park. Also is RPI. There are 3 sections to this campground. We were in H section which is closest to the Family Clubhouse (which is also a restaurant serving meals Wed through Sun) & the only laundry. The other sections are down the hill & they are closer to the pool, playground & pickle ball courts. The road to the campground is paved (be on the lookout for the free range cattle). Inside it's some gravel. Gated with a code. We were here for a month, so we had an assigned spot. There was a mix up at check in, so we were told to look for a site (our one complaint about Thousand Trails). However, the manager called us & we were in our assigned spot in a hour. Sites ; some are back to back, some pull through & some back in. For a 50 amp site you get a key for the utility. We had a wide 50 amp back in site. We fit our truck next to the trailer. It was long enough to fit our 39 ft fifth wheel. Gravel with bushes & some shade (some sites had lots of shade). Our site back up to the road, but it didn't bother us. Utilities fine, hit & miss on WiFi from the repeater. WiFi in clubhouse but it was slow. Verizon was OK but it depended on where I sat in the trailer. Had gotten over the air TV didn't get all major channels. Our portable satellite was great. Campground has activities. Adult swim 2 a day, bingo, music group on weekends etc. Playground close to the A, B & C section (as stated above that's where the pool is etc). Bath house in H section is dated but clean. The other one by the pool is a little newer. Pet run in H section but other sections have pet walks with baggies. Really friendly people here. Great place to stay to explore Jerome, Old Cottonwood, Cape Verde & Sedona. You can even drive to Flagstaff. Some people make the almost 2 hr drive to the Grand Canyon. So much to do. Oh check out the winery at the entrance of the campground. All & all one of the nicest Thousand Trails parks We've stayed in. Stayed here the month of April 2015. (which is one of the busiest times because the weather is perfect) Would come back. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
