I moved into the park in 1988 and the streets where in BAD condition then, but the park would only fill the holes when then got real deep. Last year PG&E put our GAS & Electric under ground and finally brought the park up to code. PG&E filled in their trenches with new aphalt and made the streets safe to walk on.. The PARK hired a company to RESURFACE all THEIR streets and is charging the residents each month to recover their costs of maintaning safe streets in the park that we pay for space we rent for our homes.. Some of the residents live on fixed income, don't own cars and can not afford the extra cost of the PARKS STREETS for the next several years yet if they don't pay, the park can take their homes for nonpayment. The new streets are very nice and my wife can roll her wheel chair safely to her wheelchair van and children can play in the streets without fear of falling because of the holes in the streets. I wonder if we are paying for the streets in front of our homes to be fixed what will be the next thing the park will start working on to "Improve the value of the park", maybe clearing the weeds from the dranage ditch so the streets don't flood, preventing residents in wheel chairs from leaving their homes???

This is an Old Park, first started in the early 1940's and we have had many owners, each trying to make the park a better place and profitable for the next sale, but having the basic problems that all older parks have. This was originally a senior only park, but was changed to a family park many years ago so that the seniors could sell their homes to families. This was great for the seniors, but there is NO PLACE for children to play in the park except the streets. I have lived here for over 30 years and while our area is somewhat secure, there is still a lot of things that could be corrected. I believe that security is the most important thing that should be upgraded. We have a lot of homeless that come into the park as most parks do, but the corp. that runs the park doesn't believe in having updated cameras, or hiring security, instead takes a few dollars off the rent of the seniors that do the maintenance or night security. PG&E is upgrading the Gas and Electricity which will require the streets to be repaired, something that will help improve the image of our park, but we will will be same as before unless other problems are addressed . Lately we also have had a problem with corporate "managers" who come up real poor ideas on how to run the park, only to put blame the on site people when they don't work.
