Short term weekly campers will enjoy this quaint retreat in the desert, as long as you stay away from management, or they stay away from you! A dark and ugly female manager plagues the resort with misery, lies, and contempt for anyone who complains about her workers. The work campers are not bound by Park policies, and are allowed to run amok throughout the entire Resort doing as they please. Loud disruptive and annoying music is their favorite weapon. Park is notorious for allowing its work campers to play loud music day and night. If you seen these reviews on other sites about this camp it is true, they are allowed and disruptive and can do no wrong. The female manager will see to it that your life becomes a living hell if you dare complain about one of her workers. What's worse is the general manager backs this up, but it doesn't surprise me seeing that this is a California company. This Resort doesn't contribute to the local economy of Arizona. The management is so bad here that they alienated all of the previous local vendors for their Farmers market they used to have. Locals here know what management here is all about, it's a small town and people talk. Management likes to revise and change Park policies on a monthly basis although they won't tell you or distribute a copy once you become a long-term tenant so beware, Park policies change on a regular basis and are posted on their website and you are responsible for knowing that. I suggest everybody who wants to rent long-term read their long page of Park policies. They converted most of this park into premium paid spots which are not worth it at all. These spots are loaded with old mesquite trees that drop their beans all over the property causing rats snakes and other animals to infiltrate your area. Also the spots are not the same in size they are odd shaped and some of them you can barely fit your rig on. Most the long-term renters here have moved from their spots into standard spots because they know it's not worth an extra $100 a month. Premium spot is now $650 a month plus electric. A standard is $550 a month plus electric. They do have artesian water and free Wi-Fi which is sporadic and you're not guaranteed to receive Wi-Fi. There is no air conditioning in the laundry room which can become unbearable during the warmer months. The pool is not heated properly for the winter months however they do have an outdoor hot tub but you can't swim in that. No dogs are allowed near the pool area or anywhere where the concerts are outdoors. Management is selective and who has to obey park policies just so you know, you will see some people breaking the policies. Make sure you're on the good side of management before you break a rule! This could be a beautiful Park, but a park is only as beautiful as the community in it. They do not encourage community Spirit here -there's quite a bit of division, most of that is due to management. They will do your USPS mail for you and packages but beware if you are not liked you will suddenly find that your packages get ripped , letters get opened ,and large packages get turned around so you can't even read the label. In other words they start tampering with your mail. I find this behavior to be completely childish and unlawful. They also do not accommodate for handicapped people as far as provided handicap parking or certain facilities are not handicap friendly. I think they have one Casita they claim is ADA compliant , which I doubt it is. So if there is a large activity open to the public such as a concert you may have a hard time parking your handicap van or vehicle because there is no designated parking. They have a few bridges that cross over the St David canal to the clubhouse however they are not wheelchair friendly or scooter friendly either. A golf cart or UTV can cross over them with some difficulty but not smaller mobility vehicles. I find this to be appalling. This is not a 55 plus Park this is a 21 plus Park most of the year. Summer is open to all ages. You will find different ages throughout the park. Most concerts and holiday activities are open to the public so you do not actually have to reserve a spot here to enjoy their free concerts on the Green. However I find that the long-term campers actually are paying for this through their rental fees, as well as the high priced casitas they have up on rattlesnake hill. During the summer that area is very dangerous with lots of rattlesnakes, many dogs in the park have been killed up there. However don't let that deter you from going up there and seeing a beautiful sunset with a 360° view. Just beware of the manager living up there! This could have been a really high class, high luxury resort, however if you don't have high class Management and well paid high class workers, it ruins the purpose. This camp relies solely on workers who work for their rent and electricity which turns out to be a few dollars an hour. Don't get me wrong there's one or two good office workers who have some values, but the majority of the staff act like ex convicts, entitled, and void of any respect. Last year I had a work camper shout a very unacceptable comment at me. I didn't dare bring it to management because I knew she would flip her lid on me and probably accuse me of lying. But they allow their staff to be contemptible and insulting. One work camper next to me tried to file false charges against my caretaker. Thank God it was dropped out of court, but that's what kind of people they allow to work there. You want experience any of this if you're just there for a short visit thank goodness, enjoy your stay. But if you're there long-term and you become part of the community keep your eyes wide open and don't always believe what you hear from the workers or management. There's a demonic Spirit there.
