Shady Acres RV Park

The site we reserved was given to another person so we had to go to a different site. When we set up and were trying to wind down we found there was no campfire ring so inside we went only to find that, though we had been given the password, the WiFi did not work. Saturday night/Sunday morning our hitch was cut off our truck and stolen. The manager denied that it could ever have happened and we had to call the sheriffs office to file a report.

We stayed there for two nights In town for a wedding. The RV park is exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable. When we checked in the management was very helpful and show this to our site. If we are ever in the area again will definitely stay there.

Shady Acres RV Park was a great experience. I liked how the landscape was well maintained and kept. The layout of the park makes it very easy to navigate. I plan to return soon and I would recommend this park to anyone.

Not much to rate here, it's a pretty bare bones RV park. The office, laundry and showers are up in the front of the park that they call Phase 1, there are 3 Phases. We stayed in Phase 2 which has the only pull thru sites. Phase 3 has a number of covered sites. Biggest issue is the make it a point of campers knowing the park rules, but they don't enforce the most important one, Rule 15, all pets must be leashed and attended and owners must clean up after their pets. There were at least 4 large dogs running loose in the park with no owner in site (except the 2 times we observed the owners opening the door of their RV to let the dogs out and one owner feeding their dog outsite and then going back into their RV while the dog remained outside, unleashed and unfenced. One dog charged at me while I was taking trash to the dumpster, but slowed down when I did not react and did not run away. Observed these dogs doing their business multiple times in multiple locations. Reported it to management, but they did not appear to take action so we called animal control who came out and picked up at least one, maybe two of the dogs. This is a safety issue for us as we have an older dog with arthritis and would have been unable to defend herself. If you don't have pets and just need a place to park so you can venture out, this may work for you but there are better options at the same price.

Very clean concrete pads. Pool and playground for the kids. Convenient and close to the wedding venue we needed this weekend. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Good place to stay for over night or long term. Large back-in spaces, many of them covered in the newer section. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will stay again next time thru the area.

Very nice place. Very quiet. Management was very friendly and helpful. Planning on staying again soon!!!!
