RIVERSIDE PARK
The main feature of Riverside Park is the camping! The campground has 8 back-in sites with both 30 amp and 50 amp power. The sites have water hookups (sewer not available). There are three tent camping sites available with no hookups or electric. In 2018 a new shower/restroom building was constructed.  Riverside Park has a picnic shelter and tables, barbecues, playground equipment and an all-purpose sports field. The park is located on the Scenic Rum River featuring a canoe and kayak launch. While you're here feel free to drop a line and do some fishing! The swim area is located at the north end of the park. Across the river from the campground there is a dog park for your favorite pet to enjoy the scenery leash free.

Riverside and Riebe Park are located adjacent to downtown providing great access to area restaurants, local shops and bike paths.  The Splash Park is located at Mark Park for a fun family outing. Friday nights throughout the summer the racetrack provides racing entertainment.

Quick location off the highway. Small park along the Rum river. Fire pit and picnic table. no obstructions to back into the site. Very clean, restrooms and shower. Welcomed by the camp host. Easy to make the reservation by phone or online. Clean campground

Sites are small, no way to get my 31 ft. 5th wheel trailer into site#4. Site was muddy after all the rain. Just asked for a refund & looked for another place to stay. If you have a tent or smaller trailer the park looks nice.

Nice campground, good location, good facilities Needs better policing. Numerous loud, homeless-like individuals thereby ruining the ambiance. Some safety concerns also Had tibialengte law enforcement on the 2nd night

Great campground within city limits that is close to restaurants and shopping. Space is a very hardpack level gravel, with grass surrounding the camp pad. I was a bit hesitant to book the campground based on older reviews, but I believe that the city has employed a full time camp host this summer which has really turned the camping experience around. The restroom/shower was clean, the host was very welcoming and gave us some suggestions on where to go around town. These are not pull through sites, so some larger rigs might find it challenging to get backed in.

We all thought this was a lovely Little campground. It is well taken care of. If there's one thing we would say is that the bathrooms need a little bit better ventilation. The campground host did a great job of keeping it clean but everything was sweating so bad. The campground host that you hired is a lovely Lady and what's enjoyable to speaking with her. Thank you for a great weekend!

Great hidden gem. Clean and well kept. Small number of sites. Quiet, but within a walk to downtown.

Never stay on a Friday night if you want quirt before 11 or 11:30 because the Princeton Speedway is less than a mile away and it is loud! Camp is nice and I'd stay any other night of the week.

Angie the park manager was very welcoming and easy to work with. This park is very active and a lot of cars driving in and out. Bathrooms could be cleaner, road noise and loud obnoxious vehicles racing up/down Rum River drive was very annoying. Access to the river was good, rented some kayaks locally and spent some time on the river, so peaceful!

Nice park setting, Camp Host was excellent greeted us right away. Gave us the lay out and things to do. Bathe room and shows were very cleaned and well kept up. Right by river and walking trails. Only complaints is no onsite dumping station is why we only stayed a couple of days. Need to make the sites drive thru had a hard time getting in with a class a motor home. Need to recognize the host!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the campgrounds. Public restrooms needed some attention though. Thank you for letting us camp at your facility.

Nice, private, very few campers midweek, perfect for us to attend a family reunion close by. Basic bathroom but clean with hot showers. Campground host very accommodating.

During our stay we had good neighbors, and the bathrooms/showers were clean and well supplied. Our utility hookups worked and seemed to be well maintained. The site hostess was hospitable and kept a close eye on the campgrounds. The problem is that the campground is adjoined with a public park that is frequented by the local homeless and apparent drug addict population. There were vagrants sleeping in the park, and questionable people randomly driving around the campsite loop with no apparent purpose frequently throughout the day. There are security cameras here and there, but they don't seem to be much of a deterrent. This campsite has potential if the city can clean things up. Perhaps it was worse than usual being a holiday weekend, and it seems others have good things to say about this place.

I booked a campsite Right next to a family members site so we could hang out togethe And so the kids could play and go back-and-forth between the two sites. I got a message the day of saying my camp site was changed. No idea why I was switched and When we got there a different person was right in between us. Very frustrating when we booked In advance for the two sites. The people next to us were using power tools early on there vehicle. Probably won't stay again!

Nice little park on the Rum River. It's right downtown Princeton so you will hear traffic and people. There is an nice beach area for kids to play and kayak launch for exploring the river.

This is a lovely in-town city campground that is great for visiting family or for a brief stop-over. The lots are spacious and the utilities (water and electric) were functioning; we had no problems with electricity or water pressure. The major problem we experienced over our 9 day stay was the cleanliness and maintenance of the lavatories/showers. This is a public park in addition to a campground and the lavatories are used by the general public who visit the park. Consequently they can be trashed and dirtied very easily. For instance, we arrived on the Saturday before the 4th of July. One of the two lavatories was clogged and had toilet paper strewed about. There was dirt and mud on the floor of both this lavatory and the other one (although its toilet was operating). The problem continued until July 5. No one serviced the toilets on the Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. Trash pickup was the same. No trash collection until July 5. Trash was overflowing. We kept ours inside our trailer until the situation was resolved. Because of the condition of the lavatories, we used our onboard toilet more frequently than we planned, causing our black tank to become filled up quickly, Since there is no dump on site or near, I had to hook up our trailer and drive 30 miles to the nearest dump I could find ($10 dump fee). I looked online for a septic service to come and make a house call, but none were willing. Two major suggestions: DAILY cleanups on the lavatories (including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) and an emergency phone number in case the facilities are trashed and need attention. Second, a dump facility nearby, maybe on city property somewhere away from the river (I can understand the city not wanting to dig a dump near the river and create septic runoff into the water). I'm assuming the city has a sewage treatment plant somewhere? Other municipalities have a dump station at those facilities. Or an arrangement with a septic service to service campers. The two star rating is mainly for the toilet and shower conditions. Otherwise the park is great. Very little noise from town, close to conveniences, lots of water activities, and a great place to hang out with family and grandkids. We come again, but we'd be better prepared.

The stay was pleasantly. They keep the park clean, empty trash daily, clean the bathroom/ shower clean. The new park host is a great addition. It's a park on a river, expect a lot of people on the weekends.

Small camp sites, not very well taken care of. Garbage and sticks all over the place. Difficult to setup tent and camp sites are so small. Lots of walking required, especially because the website is mislabeled compared to where the sites actually are in person. Not worth $10 a night
