The owner is very nice and accommodating! It is nice that most of the sites are pull through with plenty of room. The sites are dirt, weeds and grass so probably better make sure it hasn't rained or there is no rain in the forecast. There is a train that runs nearby every hour or so.

We stayed just one night while passing through and wanting to see Fort Laramie and Guernsey Ruts. Pulled in and our rig was swarmed by flies. They were everywhere on the outside of our motorhome - never been in a campground with them this bad! While setting up our rig and having to open the doors (as little as possible), our camper was flooded with them. Killed at least 30 flies in the first half hour and continued killing them into the evening! Wondered if it was just the area, but we didn't have any problems with flies when we visited sites around the area. No animal pastures seemed nearby to account for it. Kids wouldn't even ride their bikes because of them. The next morning when we got up, they were all over the sunny side of our motorhome. Owners need to spray or do something about the flies. Owner was very nice when arriving. Campsites are spacious pull-thru's with scattered weeds and sand with some grass - somewhat level. Roadways are gravel and okay. Had FHU and they were okay. Bathrooms seemed somewhat clean but dated. The two women's showers had no shower curtains or anything to give you any privacy! Just a curtain between the shower area and the toilet area. There was ample room in each stall to hang a curtain and hooks, but none there. No place to hang your clothes or towels. Would not use them due to privacy issue! No handicapped facilities. Only dumpster is in the back of the campground near the mobile home - not near the front so you can get rid of it as you leave. Trains do run frequently near the campground and blow their horns as they approach. Had fan and A/C running at night and did not hear them during the night. Didn't bother us. Just seems like a campground that has seen better days and needs some TLC. Would not stay there again unless no other choice because of the flies and shower privacy issues.

We booked a site at Pony Soldier last minute on Labor Day weekend. Julie was very friendly and accommodating. When an early snow was predicted she suggested we wait before pushing northward. We were glad we took her advice! As Southerners pulling a camper through snow and blowing wind was not a good idea. The laundry and bathhouse were neat and clean. The sites were level and mostly grass. Many unexpected attractions were nearby for us to enjoy. We would definitely stay here again.

Julie and Tom were the sweetest people. When Julie found out that it was my husband’s birthday she made him a cake with candles. How sweet is that- we were total strangers! Had a great stay there. Will definitely stop again when in the area.

nice campground for a few nights. Kinda dusty and dirty, but it is Wyoming. They work real hard to keep the grass watered and cared for.

Wonderful campground. My daughter enjoyed visiting with the horses in the front pasture. Mature trees provided some shade. Walking distance to the steak house. Owners were very hospitable. Will definitely stop here again if in the area

Would have been a nice stay except for the LOUD trains running by all day and all night. Internet was awful. Staff was friendly.

This could have been at least a 4 star and maybe a 5 star except for a couple of issues. First, our site was not clean, there were half eaten chicken bones littered around the site, as if the previous person that stayed before us ordered KFC and just threw the bones on the ground. Another issue was that the person behind us left his dog chained to his trailer while he was away (probably at work as I think many of the people live in their campers at this campground); the issue was that the chain allowed the dog to come into my campground. So I had the displeasure of dealing with a dog barking at me while I was trying to dump my tanks. I will not be staying here again. The owners seemed very nice though.

Campground Response

We were sorry to read about your experience. If you had let us know about your issues we would've tried to rectify them while you were here. We hope the rest of your journey is more pleasant.

Campground was clean, affordable, and well-maintained. Owners were very nice and it's obvous they take pride in their campground. This was a good RV camping experience for me and the wife. Would definitely recommend to others as a place to stay while passing through on vacation or for exploring the area.

Campground Response

Thank you Shadrick for leaving a review for us. It is always so good to know when your guests have enjoyed their stay. Of course I see everyone on arrival, but not always the time of departure. We hope the rest of your journey is as good or better than your stay here with us.

Friendly and accommodating hosts, clean and nice showers, bathroom and laundry. LOUD trains throughout night, unbelievable swarms of bugs at night made it hard to walk dogs.

Campground Response

Thank you Barbara for taking the time to leave a review. We hope the rest of your journey was more enjoyable.

This is a great RV park! We wanted to see some of the Oregon Trail historical sites in the area and this park is nice and centrally located for visiting all the Oregon Trail historical sites in the area. There were only about 4 or 5 rigs in the park and one or two tent campers, so the owners let us pick our own site - love that. There were plenty of empty sites to choose from. The park was very clean and well kept. The sites are grass, which was great for our dog. They are also all pull throughs, great for larger rvs. When we were visiting the local sites, we took note that the other rv parks in the area don't look as nice as this one does. So glad this is the one we chose. The train is loud, but we didn't notice it much when we were inside our rv. When we checked in, the owner was very friendly and gave us tips on which sites to visit which days based on the weather forecast. It was hot the weekend we were there - with record breaking heat so we want to come visit again some time and we will definitely stay here again.

Campground Response

Thank you Denise for leaving us a review. We so appreciate hearing our guests feedback. Return business is always a pleasure for us. We look forward to seeing you again.

This was a great place to stay! It was our very first RV Park, and we arrived late (12am). The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. Even lent us a plug adapter that we didn't have for electricity. I highly recommend!

Campground Response

Thank you Dusty for leaving us a review. I hope you had a great time on your adventure. We hope you get back up here sometime.

This was an absolute amazing place. THEY made us feel like family and gave our kids ice-cream when we were leaving! We got there the day of the eclipse and after the crazy rush of it all, they still made time for us to feel at home and had some great stories to tell. Very kindhearted people. We only stayed one night, but I would definitely go back there if I ever had the chance. We went to the little historic museum and they were GREAT people too!! The sunset was breathtaking and the sites were very nice with clean bathrooms and laundry! The laundry was a very nice surprise for me!! Thank you for doing what you do right!!!

Campground Response

Thank you Kari for your kind and encouraging review. Your children were delightful, I so enjoyed their visit. We hope to see you back here sometime.

We spent only one night at your campsite. The reception was very welcoming and we loved the tips for sightseeing. Besides, there were quaint and old tools at the site, wow! Too bad that the evening and night came with thunder and very strong winds, but that was not something anyone could have changed...

Campground Response

Thank you Richtsje for taking the time to give us a review. We love what we do, and you are the reason for it.

I came here to visit some historic sites in the area, but also because I love Wyoming! It's such a relaxing area, and Lingle is no different. It's a quaint town with a small population, so it was perfect for unwinding from the stresses from my busy life. The park has quite a few amenities, and it was all really comfortable and clean, especially the laundry facilities. I visited the Oregon Trail Wagon Ruts, Register Cliff and Guernsey State Park and Fort Laramie National Historic Site. They were all really awesome stops in the area, and there were also some really nice local eateries near the park. Overall, I had an awesome time. Loved the trees, loved the fresh air and wide open skies for sunset viewing and stargazing. Will return!

Campground Response

Thank you so much for your feedback, Davina. We appreciate it!
