I was suprised by the lack of though put into this campground. The showers you pay for and the water is not adjustable. It was way too hot for adults let alone children. Given today's camper more water sewer sites need to be available. The site we had was almost impossible to get our camper in length and height wise. Even afterwards had to put in our trailer specifics when booking. The playground is run down and the ramp going up to the bathroom is falling apart.Ir would also be helpful to have Porta pottys close to tent sites as well. Not sure we will return.

The campground was clean and in a great location—close to the trail and to town. If it weren’t for the $.50 charge for a five-minute shower, I would have given five stars,

I am a regular visitor here. It has been perfect experiences all along until this year. 1st; One should not need a 'device' to access recreation. Implies only those who are 'on line' are worthy. Cash in hand, I can fill out a slip and deposit an envelope. 2nd; God gave us day and night. Our inventiveness gave us lighting of ever increasing efficiency. The led light on the porch of the fire department aimed up at the flagpoles are blinding light pollution of the oblivious excess. The whole campground is lit like a prison yard. I can read by it all the way at site 13. My tent is lit all night as if the lamposts were on, except, all from one glaring harsh 'sun' on the porch. Go home and sit in all the light you want, but please leave us a night sky!

Always a great middle point for the trails. Always clean and well taken care of. Wish we would have known it went to electronic reservations. Luckily we were able to still reserve a spot.

We were at site 33 and FHU was nice. It would be great if there was a few trees planted in this newer section. We had a view of the parking lots/buildings to one side and the creek with houses on the other. We have T-Mobile which was no service most of the weekend. While here we visited Darlington, Mineral Point and Shellsburg, nice relaxing weekend.

The Park is very under utilized. It is quiet and almost empty during the week. The was a couple of blocks from Main Street and many excellent restaurants. Every where we ate- the food was good and reasonably priced. We did not use the shower and bath facilities because we were self contained. My only irritation was trying to get a reservation was difficult and I had to cancel a reservation for a later week. After 3 weeks of cancelation-I should have received a refund. There isn’t any source to talk to anyone from the third party company to discuss. The city owns and operates the campground and everything on that end was perfect. It is the online system that needs addressing. Definitely will return. This campground Is a gem.

We stayed in the full hook up area. Nice large spots. Very clean. Nice town. It will be even nicer when the trees grow & give more shade. We would go again.

Campground was very good location, nice hot showers (.50 cents for 5 minutes), restrooms were clean, nice sized campsite not too crowded with neighbors. My only negative would be the 50 amp service plug was upside down in the breaker box making it impossible to use a surge protector... not a huge deal but we prefer using surge protector as often as possible.

Always a chill campground to stay at. Being a local of Darlington, we have always made it a point to camp here a few times a year. Well maintained sites at affordable rates, clean shower/bath house and access to the ATV trails and all of the wonderful Main Street businesses. Only negative, not all fire pits have a grate on them, we were unable to swap with another empty site as they're welded on. This was site #6. Unable to cook our food on the fire. But we managed! Definitely recommend visiting!

Lovely park on the edge of town. Down town and grocery store block or two away. Well taken care of. Nice large campsites. Well lit at night. It is mostly folks using ATV trails so bthere is noise, so be aware. Dump station is nice.

We love Darlington camping! At first we were kind of upset about making a reservation. But it worked out well. We didn't have to worry if we were going to get a site! THANK YOU!

Site 4 is a dud - the power supply was oddly at the front of the site. Had to buy an extension cable and even with 50ft of cable we had to park so far forward we couldn’t put the awning out as it covered the roadway. Came back after a day out and the staff had given away our spot to a new camper (we booked 4 nights). Park was completely empty otherwise so we just parked in a different spot. Odd decision from them. Fire ring also was too close to parking spot to use - would have been just over a foot next to our rig. Didn't seem to be an issue at any other site. Great location if you're spending time in Darlington - everything is walkable and Darlington is a wonderful little town to explore.

We loved staying here. We have stayed here plenty of times before. Close to town within walking distance and if we decide to go to the races on Friday night if running. Fun too.

Great place, I like that I can reserve a site now. Don’t have to drive 2 1/2 hours to find out there was no room! Staff was very helpful with booking a site when I was having computer issues and after the fact they went back to my site to look for a set of keys that I might have lost when loading up to leave. Thanks everybody.
