Nice place to stay. For a county run park that is somewhat rough, it is a nice place to stay. The staff that I had to communicate with was wonderful. Met every need, request, last minute schedule change, with quick reply and delivery. If you need a couple days off the road this is a wonderfull place to go.

Nice RV Park that has recovered nicely from tornado damage. The town did a great job of communication with me to confirm our reservation after the storm.

Campground Response

Thank you for such a great compliment. We are wanting things to get back to normal as soon as possible and sounds like we are close to it.

We loved this place. It was nice and peaceful, beautiful camp grounds! Nicely kept up and relaxing. Good to know there was a restroom just in case We needed it and the restroom was a tornado shelter also. Great place to get away and camp!

Nice quite park. I stayed in site 13 where the dump tube was backing up/out onto the ground and gravel next to my camper. Couldn't use the dump because of this. Was gross and not a pleasant sight with dissolved toilet paper and puddles of water and whatever else was in the water on the gravel.

Campground Response

We apologize this happened to you. Please know we provide an emergency number for situations like this. We encourage it to be used, for we could have fixed the problem.

Very happy with our stay, grounds are well kept, nice picnic table and fire pit. We were in site #6 pull through, FHU for a week in a 30ft Class A with tow. We did have to use blocks in front of rig to help level, but no trouble. Nice fenced in dog park, County Pool, play ground and Disc Golf. TV, T-Mobile and Verizon were great. Happy Trails

Best place we have stayed in Kansas. Sites could be more level around 5 but we loved it here.

He men's shower needs to have a higher shower. It currently is only about 3 or 4 feet off the ground. The rest of the one month stay was AWESOME!

Nice small town campground! I’m roaming the backroads of NE Kansas and came across the Oregon Trail Campground in Westmoreland, KS. The price was right, full hookups, relatively level site, clean bath/shower facilities, and nice little town with rolling hills. The shower is best for short people and has lots of hot water!

Love this park. So well maintained. It's owned by the town and they are proud of it you can tell. It's a quiet and peaceful stop. We stay here when visiting family in the area.

The park is well kept, but close to K-99 highway. There's not much traffic at night except for occasional semi traffic passing through with some using jake brakes. The park itself needs a real check in procedure (QR code or bar code) on the phone especially when arriving after dark. It's awkward pulling a trailer in an unfamiliar park trying to find your camp spot (paper w/your name posted on a sign). The otrvpark.com nor the small information center at the entrance offer any help on how to find your site. Also, there should be an email that provides the bath house door code & wifi password, but I didn't get it. Fortunately, I arrived just before closing time & was able to call to get the email sent. The dog play area is pretty large & has an agility course, & convenient collection area with plastic bags. There's also a Dollar General & convenience store w/gas/diesel ¼ mile south on K-99.

Level gravel sites with picnic table and fire ring. Roverpass if you want to reserve or self sign at kiosk. No attendants during our stay to assign our reserved site on arrival, so we picked an open site. See nearby Oregon Trail history and Wamego sites while you're in the area.

Well kept property, quiet, and close to Wamego and Manhattan. The only thing to improve is the bathhouse; it only lets one person in at a time.

Very quiet, easy in and out, great dump station with rinse, all gravel, dog park being built, basic restroom/shower house, most sites have sewer. However, think it's overpriced by about $10. for what you get along with the general area lack of anything to do/see
