good entertainment, lots of activities for young and old, friendly staff and fair attendees were polite and courteous, low visibility of security so I knew it was safe to attend.

Clean restroom, one smaller shower, one larger nice shower with bench. Grassed area to walk dog. No issues with parking. Office wasn’t always staffed but answered phone when i called.

We stayed 2nights in south rv site 7. Location is great for visiting OKC. We arrived one week before the state fair so there was a lot of activity. Site was level. Water and electric only. Dump site needs attention. Sites are all grass and weeds. Full of burrs so could not walk around site. Fortunately we did not bring our dog. Felt safe and staff were very helpful and friendly. We had to keep our windows closed due to other campers smoking pot. I guess pot is legal in Oklahoma.

First of all, Chris, the RV park coordinator is wonderful and helpful. My criticism is about the condition of the park we were in--South Park--with handicap sites. The condition of the park was not good. So many sand burrs in the grass that my dogs could not walk five feet without getting them in their feet. I called Security the first night I was there about two electrical hook up posts "sparking" with flashing light that I was concerned it would cause a fire. I did not go into the bath house to comment on their condition. Overall, I was disappointed in the condition of the RV park located on a state fairgrounds property.

Great stop over place. Easy access to freeways, close to downtown. Facilities are fine.

We traveled 4 hours, unloaded our horse and it was 100 degrees. When we pulled in, we could not fit in the spot straight so we asked the camp attended if we could pull in at an angle. She said yes. We unhooked was very hot and the supervisor Chris showed up and told us we had to move, when we challenged her, she clearly stated she was the supervisor, and we had to move. My husband told her he was not moving! I shared my husband was hot we had already unhooked and why could we not move later. We had an agreement to move later. We then hooked up in the evening, I called her to verify that we were parked correctly however we were still taking 2 spots due to length of trailer. She agreed to "kill" the spot behind us. The camping park was less than 1/2 full for the Summer Shoot out race. Other campers had issues with the camp staff making them hook up and move as well. Our group of people felt like we were being harassed by the staff. There were multiple trailers not parked completely straight. We come to your community as guest as least 2 times a year. We visit your restaurants, shop at your stores and pay our bill at the campground. There is a much better way to organize your process and to treat people kindly.

RV park was poorly monitored. I had my electric scooter 🛴 and its charger stollen from my front door of my RV. Lots of stickers in the grass and the roads need to be graded badly. There was a short somewhere in the electric line that kept throwing my surge protector off. I plugged it in to several other spots on our same row and it flipped off on every one.

Having to reserve a space online is NOT convenient or acceptable for everyone. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and took care of me, not as easy as before. The old system was much better. Also, it came a heavy rain and my spot was under about 7-8 inches of water. Need to improve drainage. Roads are horrible!! They are unlevel and full of holes!!

Very pleased to find upgrades and improvements going on in the park. There are added 50 Amp sites being installed. Grounds were kept in good shape, grass clipped. Our dogs found a few sand burrs in their paws during our stay, but that happens. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Good news - close to horse show. Not so good news - grass inside of fence needed mowing. Some was over knee high. There was dog poop everywhere the grass was shorter. Might want to put in a bag dispenser and a trash can. At the very least a trash can. It was not easy to get rid of your inside trash. Where was a dumpster that was easy to get to?

Excellent staff member at south RV lot that went out of her way to help in anyway possible. Easy access in and out of south lot. Website was good but I found maps difficult to zoom in on parking spots.

This is the third time we have stayed at the West RV park at the OKC Fairgrounds. In my opinion, the best RV lot on the fairgrounds!

The campground was nice. Plenty of room, all concrete, easy hook ups for water, electric and sewer. Laundry mat was nice to have close by. $2.50 per load (credit card only). Interstate was close but not an issue with sound. The train tracks were at the back of the camp ground but no issues there either. My only two complaints were all of the trash scattered at the gate of the campground. The pond at the gate was full of trash, the dumpster was on the back side of the campground. I actually don't believe the trash was coming from the campground at all. The grass was very high inside the camping area, it was mowed one day but hit and miss in the area. (the grass areas were not large and was just around the edges since the parking was full concrete. We had a great trip with no issues and we were there 7 days in campground.

Gravel drive thru campground rough w/potholes. Sites not level at all. Electrical service sketchy which is a bad thing for a dog show with lots of dogs left in RVs in 100 degree heat. Had a 30amp box that kept tripping for no reason.. Electrician on duty said my breaker box was about to burn up so he replaced it. Grass was long with sand burs in it. Had to share water. Luckily I had a splitter with me. Will never stay there again.

I have been attending the dog shows for many years, & appreciate the convenience of the Rv park there. However, I remain amazed that no basic upkeep ever seems to occur—no grading or smoothing the road or the RV spaces to create better drainage or fewer tripping hazards, no mowing of grass & weeds. The bathrooms smell bad & there’s no way to control the temperature of the showers. Scalding one day & cold the next. Every year there are power outages.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. The confirmation email said to go to an address to check in...that brings you to the other side of the fairgrounds, where there are no buildings/offices/whatever. Calling for help from that point had someone else giving us another address that took us to the other side of the fairgrounds...to a small guard booth that was empty. Luckily at that point we could look at Google Maps and realize we were finally close to the camping area, and found our way over the train tracks. Where we were met with a number of people complaining about not being able to park where they were assigned, a staff member telling them they could go to a different area and just not have some of the features they paid for (like septic)... Despite the confirmation email stating that someone would escort you to your spot and make sure you got oriented properly, we were just told "it's over there" with a pointing finger and had to figure it out for ourselves. The spot was barely big enough for our trailer to fit in without having it sticking into the road...backed up against another trailer that was actually sticking into the road. Septic drain was at the highest point of the spot, so that it was all but impossible to actually drain the tanks into it. No garbage cans except at the entrance to the camping area. We would strongly lean towards just not going to events at that fairgrounds ever again just to not have to put up with the way they (don't) manage their campgrounds. Absolutely horrible.

The space i had 296 south lot had some issues. The water at 296 did not work, lucky i had enough hose to be able to fill from next faucet to the east. None of the 110 plugs on the electric service pedestal were hot on 296, I had to connect my extension cord to the space on the other side of the pedestal to get power. Behind space 296 past the next space was standing water from a water leak. the grounds should have been mowed, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY YOU SHOULD SPRAY AND GET RID OF THE SAND BURS(stickers). If you start now spraying and then use a preemergent in early spring you could (and should) get rid of them for next year.

This is the 2nd year in a row there was a call in the building that the power went out in the RV park. We go as part of a dog show cluster and dogs could die loosing power like what happens. We have a remote temp and power monitor in our RV so when the power goes out we get notified but overall it happens a lot here and it's dangerous.

Spot was not long enough for our trailer. There were lots of pull through spots vacant in the West lot. We had a 30 foot trailer hooked to a truck that was very difficult to back in when we got there. Luckily my husband is a master level CDL driver, so with 20-25 backups and pull forwards, he was able to wiggle it into the spot, but then there was not room to park our truck at our trailer. Otherwise the campground was fine.

I love the OKC Fairground's RV Park for the convenience, the price, the large spaces and the great RV Park employees. There was a water leak behind my trailer and the next spot and they came out immediately to check on the situation. I especially love the park because you park on grass which is cooler and nice for my dogs. The new full hookups with septic helps me out a lot. I will definitely stay here again.
