We have been staying here for years and love it and the owners. We are excited to be able to stay the whole season this year now that we are retired.

We always enjoy this campground and the scenery. The mountains were ablaze with color all around the area. We enjoy the quietness in this valley. Just the perfect place to park your RV.

Getting across the bridge and making the turn into the camp ground is the hardest part. Once in the park finding our spot and backing in was a breeze. The spot we had was beautiful, it was very level and backed up to the river. The spots could use a little weeding and landscaping. The full timers were very quiet and a little road noise was all we heard at night. Over all a nice place. Only saw the owner once on our last night and she seemed nice.

Great RV park. Quiet and peaceful place to stay with some very friendly/helpful seasonable campers. We really enjoyed our stay at MVRVP. We enjoyed it some much that we booked two other stays for upcoming months.

Clean, convenient little mountain campground with full hook-ups and no ammenities. Great seasonal folks there that are friendly and willing to lend a hand if needed. Come prepared or you'll be going to town. Closest Walmart is 30 miles away. Town of Roan Mountain close by for eats and necessities.

The park is quiet and well maintained with wifi available throughout. Wifi is not fast, but its usable for the basics and to make wifi cell phone calls as there is no cell service available the immediate area. Occupants are primarily seasonal residents, and all were nice. Now to the reason for the one star rating. The entrance/exit to the park is across a VERY narrow bridge with railings that have been obviously struck before. The entrance 'tees' into a narrow road (Heaton Creek Road) with barriers on each side. We tow a 35ft 5th wheel with a short bed F350 and BARELY made it into the park, and did not make it out without damage. If you tow longer than 30ft, I'd reconsider the decision to stay at this park.

Wonderful campground! We loved how easy it was to reserve a space. The campground is quiet, meticulously maintained and has a lovely composition of fellow campers. We were warmly greeted my our neighbors, Harold and Pam, who welcomed us with a jar of homemade strawberry jam made and sold by a local “farm goddess”. We had come to this campground to attend a nearby event, but this campground is its own destination. There is a lively, and trout stocked river bubbling happily alongside the camp. The fireflies entertained in the evening as we enjoyed a remarkable view of the mountains, and horses in a neighboring field. Very peaceful and soothing to stay here.

Nice and quite. Neighbors were very friendly and all was well with our quick getaway. We would consider staying here again, as long as we can be by the river. Really ads to the stay.

Our favorite place to camp. Always so peaceful and restful. Love sitting in my camper or outside drinking coffee and watching the deer come down and graze in the morning and evening

2022 is our 5th year of camping at Mountain View RV Park. Our stay is 7-10 days. We LOVE the owners and the surrounding seasonal campers. Would love to see gravel around the hookups so when the ground is soggy everything doesn't get mucky (we added gravel ourselves and hope it was ok with the owners). So many adventures... so little time in this area.

We really enjoyed our stay at MountainView campground. The campers were really friendly, quiet rest. The creek is a winner to sit by or the children to play in. The spot we were in had adult young folks next door that had a blast with floats and water guns. So it’s a win-win place.
