Leaning Tree Campground

Really nice spot! We tent camped and arrive after dark but the host was super helpful and it was easy to find our place. Bathroom were super clean and recently updated it looks like. Far enough off road to be quiet. Other campers seemed respectful. Would stay again.

Nice showers, laundry and bathrooms. A bit noisy due to close proximity to highway and other campers but it is a good location to access the Many Glacier area. Also small enough that it has a local neighborhood park kind of feel.

First let me say that when I was able to communicate with staff they were very friendly and helpful! Second, like everyone else mentions the bathrooms and laundry facility are a God send. Beyond that there's garbage and junk everywhere (including a board with nails sticking out of it laying on the ground). No staff members were ever visibly onsite. Some dogs clearly live on property and began barking incessantly in the middle of the night but no one stopped them. This is a tiny campground right next to the road designed without any privacy or definition to individual sites. Just a little LOVE would go a long way in making this place truly great. The location to GNP/Many Glacier and ease of access was really nice.

Nice little campground. Restrooms and showers were clean. There’s some sort of cafe on the grounds that hosted large gatherings the nights we were there. Lots of people, especially children mixing in the campers space. For the price it was ok, but if you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, you might pass on this one.

Good site with excellent facilities and a location ideal for entry to the Many Glacier area or the eastern entrance to the National Park.

Quiet , restroom and showers very clean

Small but friendly campsite. Basically one tree-shaded meadow with cabins around it. Pitch your tent anywhere you like on this field. Most sites not level. There was noise throughout the night from the road next to it. Very nice and clean showers.

Leaning Tree Campground was a fantastic place to stay on our trip to Glacier. The campsite was easy to find, had a nice café onsite, and great facilities. Of note were the clean and comfortable bathrooms, the large laundry room, and an indoor spot for washing dishes. Unfortunately, we had some car trouble while visiting, but the staff at Leaning Tree offered us help with getting a tow and finding a mechanic. They were also super flexible with our travel dates even during the busy August season. Would absolutely recommend!

Friendly campsite with good facilities and close to the Many Glacier Road entrance to the National Park. The only downside is that the road it’s on carries a fair number of trucks early in the morning - but if you’re planning on rising early to nab a parking spot at the trailhead then that’s less of an issue.

This was our worst experience staying at campground. Unfortunately we booked 3 nights. Positives-nice bathrooms, great cafe service/manager (Taylor...super helpful), and we had wi-fi service. Negatives-We were late checking in (7:30pm, and I understand she has a life/family). Nothing left on the office door to tell us our site # (she doesn't tell you until you get there-assigned upon arrival) and no communication via text. The cafe manager and another helpful person named Tim, helped us get wi-fi so I could contact manager. I paid for electrical and there was not a sight for me to hook up. The sight manager finally text me and said my sight was #4 which was over 80' from an electrical panel that wasn't already being used by another RV. We had to park by the main road (not a site) of the campground and get as close as possible to get electric to run our A/C. We also booked b/c they had laundry, however the machines were out of service, I was told I could drive 8-10 miles to another campground and use there's. Really? I asked for a partial refund, but the manager apologized for the inconvenience and refused any compensation. Never again!

Nice place close to many glacier Park. There was not put dire available on the site number 3 whereas put gore were available at Each order campsite…

We stayed 5 nights at the Leaning Tree. After weeks of failing to get a site in Many Glacier we decided to try another option. The campground is small and rustic. We had a nice level graveled back-in site with electricity. The bathrooms/showers are new and very good. It was 15 miles into Many Glacier. It was great to have power and wifi while camping. We did not try the cafe. It's a good place to stay when you can not get into The Many Glacier campground.

We loved staying here. Everyone was so friendly. Lots of dogs to pet and play with as a bonus. Would love to stay again.

Everything was amazing except for the fact that there is not enough hot water for all guests to enjoy warm/hot showers. Would definitely stay here again, but would recommend with reservation to friends and family for that fact along.

Pretty good, small campground. Staff was nice and friendly, and facilities were well-kept. Place was quiet and non-disturbing. Dogs were around the campground, walking and playing. They are also really friendly!

Not as advertised. Our site was described as 30 AMP with water. There were 2 sites sharing a 120 amp plug at the pedestal. It took us a while to discover that the 30 amp breakers were several sites away. This sort of wiring is not safe. There was no water at the site but there was a dishwashing room, laundry room, and bathroom with showers, just no hot water in the evening when many campers were showering. I ended up heating water in my kettle to shower with. We saw campers with campfires directly on the ground, no fire ring or stove enclosure. We barely fit lengthwise, had to move the table off to the side. We could not put our slide out as the trees were so tight. When I called the phone number posted on the office door the message said that the mail box was full, so no assistance. Also no one cleaned our site before arrival, lots of dog poop. The location was good for visiting Glacier at the Baab or St. Mary’s entrance. Next time I would try to get Johnson’s campground or pay the big bucks for the KOA.

We loved this campground. The location was excellent. The owner, family and workers were friendly and eager to help out. Having access to showers and laundry facilities while on the road was a bonus. We took Doug's advice and went to town to the Trading Post and museum... would definitely recommend!

Clean, nice campground Easy to find

No to greet us, told to pick a campsite than told to move to another, laundry facilities had not working machines.

Poor management on RV portion. Restaurant workers took around and said you can pick any of the open sites yet we had a reservation. RV manager not on site. Restrooms were a mess with paper and trash all over floor and showers with a towel left in the shower. We didn’t stay for the second site and won’t be back.

No one was present to check us in when we arrived we were told by the cafe owner that the campground host (her son) had not been see for quite some time. Since a campsite was not assigned at the time of booking we self assigned. As other guests arrived we all just cooperated and moved campsites so we could all fit. Bathrooms were fine and showers were hot so we thought ok this will be fine. Day 2-upon returning from hiking we found things busier and the place was full. Water was turned off so we decided to wait for showers. A couple of hours later we discovered not told that the water was back on. Showers were freezing and the toilets were filthy. We stayed the night and the next morning went to use the bathrooms they were still filthy and the water was off again. It’s a nice setting, wifi wasn’t great, cafe food was good and the outward appearance looked fine. It just needs someone to clean and manage it. Therefore I would not recommend staying here until things change

Location was close to Glacier NP and the campground staff was very accommodating. Sites are a bit narrow for trailers. We really enjoyed the 4th of July Blackfoot festivities!

Perfect for what we needed. Clean, quiet, and close to the east side of Glacier. A great plan B if you can’t get a reservation for Many Glacier.

I think this place has tons of potential and it seems they are working on improvements. The bathrooms and laundry area are really nice. Tho it would be nice to have some gravel leading to them so you don't have to walk thru mud. There is NO dump station. I feel that should be listed on the website. The sites themselves are small and situated in an odd way. The electric is on the wrong side and at the front of the site. Also, you need a 110 adapter to use the electric as there is no 30 amp outlet. Close to Many Glacier and East Glacier entrances. The cafe is small but seems to offer a fair menu. Lots of loose dogs that I believe live there. All friendly enough. Certainly non-threatening. And they do offer free wifi as there is no cell signal at all. At least not for verizon. All in all, an ok place to stay if you want want to be close GNP and don't mind limited amenities.

Nice grassy area for tents with some trees interspersed. Campsites a little close together but not too bad. Fire pit was a box with a grate and doors, just keep one of the doors open and it works great!
