Lakeside Marina Campground is a campground located near Lakeside, Iowa, on the shores of Storm Lake, a 3,200-acre natural lake. It features full hookup campsites that are big rig friendly. Many of them are pull-through accessible. The park provides free WiFi, allows pets, and has a dump station.

Becoming a Seasonal Camper

Please contact the marina office if you are interested in becoming a seasonal camper.

The marina office will be able to provide current openings or put your name on a waiting list. If you are on the waiting list you will be called as soon as a seasonal campsite becomes open. You can also be put on the waiting list for the following season.

We begin calling on that list the first week of January. There is no obligation from being put on the list. Once you become a seasonal camper you will be required to have $100,000 liability insurance on your camper. The campground closes on October 31st at 2:00 PM. Your camper can be left on grounds for storage purposes only. The grounds are locked off and permission must be obtained from management for access to the grounds.

Each year the contract for your site will automatically renew unless seasonal site prices are changed or if there are any changes to the lease. If at any time you wish to change sites your name will be put on a waiting list.

Seasonal campers have first choice of sites when they become available

Amenities & Activities

Campsite amenities offered include a marina with a boat launch, picnic tables, fire circles, and grills. It also includes basic amenities like restrooms with hot showers and laundry facilities. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as waterskiing, kayaking, swimming, tubing, jet skiing, biking, hiking, fishing, and wildlife watching.

Seasonal RV Sites

Seasonal Dates are generally the second Saturday of March through October 31st of each year. Payment is expected to be received by March 1st of the year to keep the seasonal spot. If you have questions on seasonal sites, please call the Lakeside Marina and Campground office.

Rules

Reservation Policy for Daily and Monthly Camping

Sites may be reserved up to one year in advance. One night’s base rate stay is required as a deposit to hold any site. This may be done via check or with a credit card. Upon receipt of the deposit you will be sent out a confirmation that contains cancellation and campground policy and rate list with map. It is your responsibility to verify the information contained on the confirmation. We hold our guests responsible for each and every day of your reservation. Arriving late or leaving early will still result in being charged for your full reservation. If you wish to cancel or alter your reservation you must do so 7 days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel 7 days or more prior to your arrival date there is no cancellation fee. Cancellation fee of 1 night's base rate will be charged if reservation is cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival date. For holiday reservations the above policies apply, in addition, if you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your arrival date you will be responsible for a three day rental at the base rate. You will be asked to pay for your site in full upon your arrival. No refunds.

Seasonal Regulations

Your campsite is for you and your parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren. All other relatives and friends are your guests. They must check in the office and register for a car pass. Any vehicle that visits your site (including those belonging to immediate family) must have car passes displayed.

You are responsible for the electric that you use. It is read around the 15th of every month and can be paid at the office.

No boats, jet skis, or boat trailers are to be parked at the campsite. Please park in the boat storage area. A storage fee of $150.00 per season per watercraft must be paid when leaving watercrafts behind. This fee is applicable if watercraft is left on grounds or in water and is charged to anyone not spending 8 hours or the night on the campground. Seasonal boat slip renters are exempt from this fee. All boat and Jet Ski trailers must have owner’s name or site # in a visible area on the tongue of the trailer. It is your responsibility to report your boat storage.

No children on boat dock after hours unless they are with an adult. Children under 12 must wear a life jacket while on the dock.

No display of signs, attempting to sell campers, boats, goods or services, advertisement of such services, or other distribution of written material without lakeside’s approval. Lakeside will receive a 10% commission from any sales made on the grounds of lakeside whether sign posted, newspaper advertised, or spread by word of mouth.

Pets must be on a leash of 6 feet or less and under physical control at all times. You are required to clean up after your pets. Do not leave pets outside of the camper when you are gone. No pets in the bathhouse or pool area. No pit bulls or other vicious dogs.

No firearms or fireworks allowed on campground.

Breaking of rules can result in termination of lease at Lakeside Campground’s discretion.

Campground Policies

--3 Day minimum on all holiday weekends

--10% senior discount on daily camping only. No senior citizen discount on holiday weekends

-- No open gas cans on grounds.

--All visitors to your campsite must stop and register at the office and be issued a car pass.

--No children allowed at Marina after closing hours, unless accompanied by an adult

-- Children under 12 must wear a life jacket while on the dock, we have life jackets to borrow if needed.

--Children in pool must have a parent or adult with them at all times. No one can swim alone. No lifeguard on duty.

--Do not climb on or remove rock on rip rap walls. It is there to hold the banks in place.

--Only street legal vehicles driven by licensed drivers are allowed on grounds. No motorized children’s vehicles or scooters. No ATVs or UTVs. 5mph speed limit is enforced.

--Please clean fish at marina - facilities are provided for you there.

--Pets are allowed on a leash, with clean-up. No pets allowed in restrooms, pool, or playground.

--One vehicle per campsite. All additional vehicles must be parked in designated areas.

--Quiet hours are 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

--Campers not on full hook-up must have their sewer capped.

--No fire arms permitted on premises.

--No fireworks permitted on premises.

--We cannot be responsible for fire, theft, accident or injury to guests.

--Persons damaging or destroying property will be promptly evicted.

--No display of signs attempting to sell RV's, Boats, goods or services, advertisement of such services or other distribution of written material without Lakesides approval. Lakeside will receive 10% commission from any sales made on the grounds of Lakeside, whether signs posted or advertised in the newspaper or sale by word of mouth

--No washing of vehicles or boats on campground premises.
