The Lake Hawkins RV Park is located in the beautiful town of Hawkins, Texas and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Situated right on the lake, campers can look forward to a host of excellent attractions, such as picnicking, hiking and biking, as well as fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding on the water. The lake is also extremely picturesque, and many visitors head out there at dusk for sunset viewing and stargazing. Just minutes from the park are a number of great eateries for campers to enjoy. Amenities at the park include: a boat launch, a playground, restrooms, showers, 30/50 amp sites, picnic tables, grills and water. Hope to see you soon!

Rules

Behavior

Bad attitudes will NOT be tolerated and will be asked to leave.

Pets

All dogs must be on LEASHES. Please pick up doggie doo. NO DOGS, GLASS, OR FOOD ON THE BEACH.

Tents

Tents are allowed ONLY in designated areas. RV Sites are for RV guests only. Guests with an RV can also set up ONE tent (max) on their site for friends or family at the rate of $25 per night. (Pay at office for tent.)

Smoking

No smoking near neighbors or in bathrooms.

Fires

DO NOT CUT LIVE TREES. Fire must be contained in fire ring or grill. The occasional burn ban happens at the end of Summer in August or September when it's so hot outside you won't want a fire anyway. :)

Visitors

Visitors must register at the main office.

Dump Station

Park grass LOVES grey water. Black water at Dump Station only!

Firearms

FIREARMS & FIREWORKS PROHIBITED.

Beach Policy

NO DOGS, GLASS, OR FOOD ON THE BEACH. NO Alcohol in recreation areas or on the beach.

Swimming Policy

Swim only in designated areas.

Kids

Kids under 12 must be attended by an adult. Children have the right of way.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. No loud music at all.

Vehicle Policies

No Vehicles on grass. No 4-wheelers, go-karts, or dirtbikes. Golf carts are allowed for transportation only, NOT for play.

We had a very nice stay at the rv park. The site was great and a great view of the lake. The staff was very nice and helpful. We will visit again. Nice that it is just 1 hour from our home.

My family had our best camping trip here at Lake Hawkins. The RV spots were nice size for each family to enjoy and set up how you like. We enjoyed walking around with our dogs and there is a dog park to let your dog explore. My children had so much fun and made friends and enjoyed watching my kids playing all day the beach is the best Sandy beach I have seen around here. We now have a new favorite camp grounds and will come back again. All staff we talked to was very helpful and nice. Grounds was very clean and safe feeling. Playground for kids was very conveniently located for kids to get to and several camping spots were in same area with the playground. We had a wonderful time!!

I love this park, the only reason I gave it a 4star is because of the ants! They are so bad, ants are everywhere. By picnic tables, electric boxes…everywhere and they bite!!

Lovely, quiet East Texas haven. Lake Hawkins water is cool even in the heat of summer. I loved the beachside outdoor shower. Campsites are well maintained and clean. The Management is exceptional.

Great place to stay. I’ve stayed in the cabins by the lake which are air conditioned and big enough to fit 4 king size inflatable mattress; I’ve also camped with a tent on the other side of the park where it’s a bit more secluded.

The trip to Lake Hawkins was for a quick trip before school started and both of my kids (ages 8 and 19) enjoyed themselves! The beach was clean and there was plenty of room for people to spread out. We will definitely be back again!
