Welcome to Indianhead Resort! Quiet, relaxing, peaceful– this is one of the few campgrounds where the classic tradition of camping, resting and relaxing amidst the quiet sounds of nature, has been preserved. The forest, in which its many campsites and motor home sites nestle, features hills and plateaus with vistas across the campground and out toward the sea. There is a mix of grassy, sunny, safari sites and spacious wooded sites which offer an outstanding camping experience for tents as well as RV’s of any size.

TENT CAMPERS CAN STAY NO LONGER THAN 1 WEEK. THIS POLICY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED. Must be 25+ years old to book and stay on-site unless accompanied by parents. ID's are checked and scanned at check-in. Check-out time is 11:00am. Check-in time is 1:00pm. Late check-out is permitted for a fee of $10 if the site is available.

Traffic

For the comfort and safety of all our guests, SPEED LIMIT IN THE CAMPGROUND IS 10MPH MAX. Do not cut through sites. Use walkways and roadways at all times.

Trash

Please bring your trash to our dumpsters. There are 3, 1 at the main office and 1 at each bathhouse.

Trees

Cutting of trees, in any way, is cause for immediate removal from the campground.

Pet Policy

Pets must be leashed and attended to at all times. They are not allowed on the beach or in our pond. You must pick up after them. Do not leave them to bark incessantly. Pit Bulls are not permitted in the park unless a state registered service dog.

Fireworks Prohibited

Fireworks are strictly prohibited and are grounds for immediate removal from the park with no refund.

Children

Children must be on site by 10:00pm and not to be left unattended at a campfire.

Quiet Hours

Quiet time: 10:00pm - 8:00am Friday and Saturday; 10:00pm - 8:00am Sunday through Thursday.

Reservation Refunds

No refunds will be given if you are asked to leave. If you decide to leave early, there will be no refund. There will be no refund for inclement weather. Campsites are not guaranteed and are subject to change.

Area Tips

We are only 4 miles from the Sagamore Bridge and 10 minutes to downtown Plymouth where you can explore the Mayflower II and Plimoth Pawtuxet Museum. Avoid the Cape Cod traffic with us with so much to do and experience in the area!

Our site was very tight for us. If there was someone next to us they would be blocked in. My husband went to the restroom and came back and told me I was not to use the facility. It was a quiet place. Polite office.

This is not a Resort by any means. Started off good by meeting friendly staff at check in. Got to camp site and it had trash on it and no picnic table. No cap on the sewer line. Loud neighbors at a seasonal site. Even louder (and drunk I assume) neighbors behind us. We let it go on Friday night, but they were even louder on Saturday night. We called the office to complain and we were obviously on speaker phone because we could hear a sarcastic individual in the background saying, “You want me to come up there and murder ‘em for you.” Apparently no one else had complained which speaks volumes as to this is normal for everyone here. We left the following morning, which was a day early. Didn’t bother asking for a refund. The playground equipment was from the 1970s. The dumpster lids were left open so animals could get in. Someone left a pile of broken glass in the road next to the bathrooms. Never used the bathrooms here. There is no control over vehicles entering. If you have visitors coming in, don’t bother stopping at the office. They won’t know anyway. It is so obvious that management just doesn’t care. Don’t waste your time or your money like we did.

Indianhead resort is wonderful. Super nice staff and the sites are always clean and ready to go. We go a few times a year. Highly recommended!

I used to love staying here with my kids a couple times a year- after a couple years hiatus I was very excited to get back. Unfortunately the experience left so much to be desired. Difficulties getting in touch with the campground to reschedule when I got very sick were disappointing, the attitude that I was given when I finally reached someone was upsetting. But I was still looking forward to being back when the new weekend finally arrived. Friendly check in was great and I felt good until reaching my site. We booked a tent site with electric and were put on a narrow rv site that only rv hookup. It was basically a gravel driveway with a firepit. No space, no easy way to stake the tent, uneven and full of rocks. I called the office and asked for the next site over and was told surrounding sites were booked...but Nobody showed up to any of the surrounding sites. Overall the campground looks unmaintained- bathrooms were filthy, roads aren't clear, sites are gravel and difficult to set up tents, dumpster was overflowing with trash despite being a quite fall Friday at check in. The playground leaves much to be desired. Might be okay for adults in an rv/camper...but this is not a fun family campground & uncomfortable for tent camping. There are so many other options in the area that will be a better fit.

Savanah, I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. Due to the Nor'easter, this weekend was a washout as you know, and the winds were blowing 30-40 mph. I wish you drove around the campground and picked out a tent site that you would have enjoyed that are not gravel. The bathhouses do need to be redone and that is on our agenda to accomplish. Due to the storm, our trash removal company failed to show, however, they were promptly emptied this morning. We do hope that you give us another try next year so that you will have a completely different and happy weekend.

I suggest you pass on this campground. You will likely be happier for moving on to other options. This campground is lacking much love from the owners!

As soon as I found out that you were not happy with the sites that you picked out online, I immediately showed up and drove your husband and other guest traveling with you around the campground to find two sites together that they were satisfied with. I enjoyed talking with them as to the destinations that you all were planning on while you stayed with us. I hope you enjoyed P-Town, downtown Plymouth, the Mayflower, the Plantation and Boston. I hope that you enjoy your travels and have a safe journey home.

Pretty quiet at night. Bathrooms are a disaster! Not clean and many amenities don’t function properly! I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay! It COULD be a nice campground, but unfortunately it is NOT being loved by the owners! A shame.

Nice quiet campground. They really neede to cut back trees and plants in roadways. 14' high for big rigs and 5th wheels. 9' wide for all vehicles.

Lovely campground, with large sites, lots of trees. BUT the washrooms,including showers and toilets, are in great need of major repairs. Enough so that we wouldn’t consider going back there. This place is expensive, there is no excuse for such neglect.

A very basic campground. They had a Friday night movie and Saturday they had Karaoke blasting throughout the campground. Seasonal campers were very loud at night. On Sunday night someone was blowing off M-80's at 9:30pm. To clean the Bathroom/Shower they spray bleach on everything and rinse off. Later at night the bathrooms were still wet with puddles of bleach. Other than that we had a nice site and enjoyed our weekend getaway.

Hmmm. It is ok. Let’s start with the good. It is pretty, almost untouched nature. Isolated quiet. When you pull in it is intimidating because you have to drive up a sharp hill. But,They did great on giving us what we asked for. Our site was level and a drive through, and even though we were nervous, host was wonderful, offering something different if needed. Also, campground is conveniently located. Now, the not so good: missed the entrance, just up the road there is a turn around on the side of the road, looks like others have missed it. Campground is……. Rustic! Really basic, as back to nature as you can get in a campground. There is water, but signs would help find it. Actually, bigger signs marking sites wouldn’t hurt either. It appears to have “campers” on sites, that may have been seasonal but didn’t look like they had not been visited this season, in disrepair and left to sit. Laundry, on the back porch of the showers, different, wouldn’t use. Didn’t go in the bathhouse. Not sure of the reasoning in placing campers. We liked our site, it was exactly what we asked for, but then with all the open sites available, just after we got set up, they put another camper within arms reach of us. The door to their camper opened on an embankment, they had to sit on our side. It was awkward. Would I go back, nah! Not for us. But if you know what to expect before you get there, do it!

The bathrooms need to be upgraded and there wasn't much going on for entertainment. Very empty campground. Never saw anyone monitoring the campground. Once you have camped at Normandy, nothing can compare, but this was super lame.

Large campground, lots of sites not being used correctly for larger rvs. Boy at the front desk was very unhelpful. Pulled in for a week and was told our site and that’s it. Nothing about facilities, activities, nothing. There’s boat/kayak rentals, playgrounds, 2 laundry facilities with only one washer/dryer in each spot(outside). The site we were put in was very very very tight. Looks like they put all their annual personnel in the nice spots. Lake is overgrown with lake weed, not sure if there are any fish. Lots of hills. Lots of trees. The sewer line cap was stuck, so Maintenance had to cut it off and put a new cap on, raised the sewer connection a foot off the ground so it was super difficult to drain our tanks. Told the maintenance guy but he didn’t look like he comprehended anything I said. Movies on Friday and Saturday evening. And it was Christmas for some reason. Not a bad camp, could have been ran a lot better.

Tyler, I am sorry that the office staff was not helpful. They are trained to inform you about all our amenities and attractions around town. Our pond has numerous fish including bass that our campers love to fish for using our brand-new canoes. The lily pads, unfortunately, we have no control over, but our water is tested twice a week and is great. The septic was upgraded in your site very recently and the sewer cap had not yet been changed over to the new style that we just received from the supplier. Thank you for bringing these issues to light for me. I will be speaking to the person and the other staff immediately to refresh their memories on how to greet our guests. Please give us another try, and we will ensure that you are placed in a site that has more room for you. Thank you, Pam (the owner)

This is not a resort. I expected more. Camp store have very minimal stuff, bathrooms filthy and campsites were not cleaned before we got there. Cigarette butts and condoms! Also had a very upset seasonal camper that yelled at us because our dog barked occasionally. Would NOT recommend. 👎

The spot was a little smaller than we thought. But it was fine. The pond to swim was only cleaned out to a small section. But there were kayaks which was pretty cool. It was very peaceful. Good prices. We will definitely be back. There's a little store . Playground for the kids. My kids had a blast.

This is by far the worst campground I have been to. I ended up coming down with Covid right before my trip so I wasn't able to use the site. However, I was going with friends so another couple checked in under my name and used my site. I came to visit for a couple of hours one day and I was told that I had to pay $5 to visit the site, even though my site was paid in full and there were only 2 people staying on it. After argued with a teenager for about 20 minutes, I relented and paid the money to go to the site. When I got there, I was shocked at what I found. Not only did the site not have a fire pit, it had only one picnic table for 3 sites to share. Then I learned that (2) other groups that were there had visitors, none of which had to pay $ to visit their site. And the site they gave my friend with a camper was absolutely ridiculous. The site was way too small for the camper and they couldn't even put their overhang all the way out because the trees surrounding the site were too close. I will never, ever stay at this campground just from the few hours experience I had from visiting my site.
