We are less than one mile from Montauk State Park with it's access to the beautiful and pristine Current River and some of the best trout fishing in our state! Canoeing and kayaking is a favorite activity while visiting and there are several businesses with rental available for river water fun.

Very nice clean and Quiet camp ground. Full hook ups . Dogs are welcome. We camp here every time we fish at Montauk state park. Great location.

Nice park! Very close to Montauk State Park. My only complaint was that the children's playground was just a couple swings and a seesaw which was metal so it was really hot in the sun. Luckily the state park has several really nice playgrounds so we could just drive down there.

Great camp ground but Need to strengthen Wi-Fi.

Campground Response

Keith thanks for staying with us. We recommend if you want good WiFi you can purchase other options on your own. Lots of good ones out there for RV’s. Unfortunately for businesses there is only one internet provider in the area that offers any type of internet. Part of living in the middle of nowhere. So, we encourage people to enjoy the river instead!

Terry Crank

Very quiet and clean campground. We loved that part. Also loved that wood and ice available 24/7 . The downside is there was no where to find a telephone number, no one around to talk to if there was a problem. My husband just had knee surgery, our campground fell away when the steps were down to the point we had to have our longest setting to get to the ground. It almost wasn't long enough. There were other camp sites available but no one around to ask if it was ok to move. ...we actually did really love the campground because it was very quiet. Edited to add ... I'm so sorry I never saw that ... I changed my rating because we really did enjoy our stay. Just the problem with my husband having Knee replacement made it very hard to get in and out of camper ... thanks for letting us know

Campground Response

Terry there is a sign that everyone drives past every time you enter the RV park with my phone number on it. The other option is call the number for the business that we answer daily. Thanks for staying.

Nice online registration. Quiet park. Enjoyed the stay. Only negatives: The power to the box cut off during a storm that night. Would be nice to have an open store and laundrycapability.

Had a great time even with all the rain. Backing into the spot was easy even at 9 pm in the dark. Only issue we had was the hookups were in the front of the site and my power is In the back so had to adjust.

When we pulled in the camping site there was a pile of wood left from previous campers. I went fishing for about 2 hours and when I returned to find that the guy in the next camp site had taken the wood and stacked it up by his fire pit... I didn't pay for it and I don't think he did either just the fact that he would come over to the camp site while my wife was in the camper and take the wood..

Easy to pull through and set up. Quiet and full connections are a plus.

David Porter

Nice and remote campground. All went well except there is barely any outside lights at night. The lots are spacious and well powered. There is no access to groceries or anything to eat so be prepared to cook at the camper. The worst thing we experienced was a wrong turn by GMaps got us lost in the hills for over an hour coming from the north and that caused some fear and tough driving issues. Oval though, a nice country campground!

Great location near Montauk State Park... the store was not open yet, but the rest of the campground was well kept and everything worked perfectly. I can see a lot of love and hard work has gone in to keeping this a nice place to stay. Will be visiting again for sure!
