Always nice as a layover spot.

Excellent. This post has improved exponentially from my days on active duty with the Army Guard in the 90’s and early 2000’s when training there. Facilities are great, and the service and support are top notch. Definitely felt safe bringing my family and there was even a great playground for my five year old granddaughter.

We have stayed in sites C, D and E in our 34 foot trailer, no problems fitting in at any of these sites. Troop laundry is available, very inexpensive, gym with track and showers also available. We visited the on base club, fair selection of "bar food", we had fish and chips and steak fries, both were served piping hot and were very good. There is a shoppette type store, not AAFES affiliated with a good selection of beer and "hard" liquor, not so much in the grocery department. There is also a coffee stand and barber. The grounds are well kept and green. We knew there were aircraft in the area, but the noise is minimal and did not disturb our sleep. We love to stop in here, lots to do around Boise and our trailer is secure while we are out and about. You do have to have a valid Active Duty, Reserve, Retiree or Dependent ID card to access the base, so it is not for everyone. It is a busy little RV park, so be sure to reserve as soon as your plans solidify.

The sites are small and close together—that’s the con; the pro is that the RV camp is very close to the gym with its showers and bathrooms. Overall, it’s a decent though not fancy camping spot for military and retired servicemembers.

Good place to stop for a night or two when on a trip. Spots aren’t that big but my 24RDS fit alright. Only issue was trying to find a base map. Not many on base knew where things were so had to drive around for a bit. No on base gas station so plan accordingly.

This is a great value for military families and retirees—a small oasis in the middle of Boise. Though it’s on the edge of the airport, I never noticed any plane noise while I was in our van. The sites at the Family Camp are nothing to write home about—they’re small and close together—the area is quiet and has very little traffic. Free showers at the gym across the field from the RV park, nearby chapel, small convenience store, playground, barber and laundry. Lots of amenities within walking distance—not to mention the water and electric at each site. Gowen Field is a good value.

We had no picnic table at our site. Large black gravel rock in between sites. Little space between sites. It worked for our stay, but no extras, nothing special. No shade

Great little RV park/Fam Camp. Easy pull in, Hook ups worked well. Grass area was nice, Kid playground was there as well. For a military installation I was a little put off by the amount of weeds in the Fam Camp and around post. Otherwise a great, well centrally located Camp! Really enjoyed my time there.

Concrete pads placed very close together basically a large parking lot. Small sites backed up to a really nice grassy area with trees. A bit pricey 42$ for these sites. Gym is very nice, DFAC is 10$ for retirees with good choices but a bit salty on some items. Base laundry is nice, .75 a load. No showers or laundry in rv area.

This site has a great grass area for animals. The spots could use some concrete maintenance but are easy to back into and fit all sizes of camper/RV. The gym is only 50 yards away. There is a full shower in that facility. The laundry is across the street from the gym. Prices are great!

We had trouble finding the main gate. Once we did we had trouble following the instructions provided. Fortunately the AP at the main gate called for a security associate to track us down and lead us to the park. It was late, about, 20:30 and we were glad for the personal assistance. The location was clean and had appropriate space. The hookups were convenient and all worked. I recommend this location to other travelers.

Nice clean Base. Love the gym. MWR manager was nice and helpful.

This is a small installation, with a small (7 spots) RV facility. All spots are FHU and fit our 35 foot trailer and a 45 foot clay A next to us. Sites A, B and C have trees, most suitable for rigs under 13 feet tall. Laundry facilities (75cents for wash, 25 cents for each dry cycle) we experienced $1.25 total for each load. Gym available, with showers. Small convenience store with espresso, field gear, barber shop and extensive Class 6. It was HOT, tripple digits every day we were there, but that is Boise in the summer. They also have an all-Ranks club, reported to be very nice, with "Bar food". We keep thinking we will go, but family gatherings always interfere. Very popular, so reserve early.

Great small fam camp. A little tight for big rigs but doable. Great camp host. The park had a power issue, but was restored in a few hours and the camp host kept all of us informed. Some noise from jets taking off, but not constant. It did not bother us at all. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

A very nice place to stay for a few days. Quiet except for the planes taking off, which was cool. The contact person was not a camper but extremely nice and helpful. The base is small but has a very reasonable laundry, a nice bar, great gym, and warbirds on display. A real find. Access to Boise is fairly easy via the interstate. Boise was a surprise. Extremely clean. A very nice Saturday market with music and local artist and venders. Went to the Cheesecake Factory, a favorite of mine. Will certainly stop there again if out travels take us near there.

Great little park. We spent three nights while visiting friends in the area. There is an excellent laundry room that allowed us to catch up on the wash.

Great place to stay when visiting friends and family in Boise and checking out the area. Services are well maintained. Interesting things to see when walking around the base.

Nice for overnight stay. The gym is 24/7 and just one block away. The store on base is small but has some basics and friendly staff. Only draw back was the road is closed that takes you in the right direction to back into angled space, so had to turn around and back down the road.

Didn't realize there were no bathrooms or showers - other than that, the experience was fine: clean and well maintained camping.

Excellent small park. Clean and adequate size sites. Easy to locate. Staffing professional and courteous. Enjoyed the large trees and grass areas. Will return, if site is available. Thank you.
