The Sweetheart Cabin was beautifully decorated and super clean and comfortable for our family of three. Tiffany was also so friendly and welcoming. It's also close to multiple destinations, including Poudre Canyon and Red Feather Lakes. We couldn't have asked for a better location and are definitely coming back.

The friendliest RV park, the view was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and the owners were very good people. We absolutely will recommend their park.

Stayed there for 2 nights. Woke up to horses right outside our window, how wonderful. Owners are very friendly, gracious and informative. The restaurant onsite is amazing, again very friendly and price isn't bad. The only draw backs are we didn't spend to much time there and we didn't book for horseback riding. Will definitely be returning.

This is an nice little place on your way to Red Feather. It's definitely a work in progress and a few things need addressed to work for the campers and the guest staying in the cabines. The staff are very friendly and want to help, just seems like its a bit of an undertaking for the new owners. I believe with a little time this place will be amazing.

Over night stop with 37 ft MH and toad. In my opinion! Would be a challenge to do larger. Totally worth the short drive from The Forks. Beautiful remote mountain valley/Mesa. Didn’t have time to do cafe. Stables with guide should be taken advantage of as well as local lakes etc = much more time here! Great water quality/pressure. Level pull through spaces and back-ins. Hope to return. So thankful the Hosts share this experience. Loved it!!

Really enjoyed out stay, and especially enjoyed the quietness and view. Only thing better would be a shower house and toilet since no full hook up but it does have a dump station. People we talked to were very friendly. Great base camp

We stayed three nights and had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful, nice owners, and there's plenty of space to walk our dog. One thing I hope improves soon is the condition of the roads especially near the dump station; it's hard on campers going over such rough terrain. Overall, I highly recommend!

Perfect location east of Red Feather Lakes. Quiet and peaceful. The chorus of birds each morning was natures music. End the day with a cocktail on Rigby's patio overlooking the valley. We will be back!

Great place, super nice people (even when you back your trailer over the hookup pedestal). Beautiful spaces, horses, fishing, very quiet. Highly recommended.

Nice small park in a cute little valley. Host was responsive and helpful. Nice view of a small lake and got to watch horses run in the pasture. Each site had fire pit and picnic table.

Lovely little spot in mountains by a small stream. I believe it is a work in progress. Signage needs to be larger and moved on the other side of first gate. We turned in like sign pointed but was wrong gate. The road was a bit rough and the sites were pretty tight. We signed up and paid for two nights only staying one. Mainly because we wanted a quite place which didn’t happen. The management was very friendly and hospitable. It just didn’t fit our mood for the second night.

The new owner Tiffany is a very nice person, but has absolutely no idea how to run an RV park. Travel directions on the website are very confusing. The $65.00 a night is much too expensive for the condition of the campground. The weeds should have been trimmed before we arrived, not while we were sitting there.. There is no office or any way to check in or find your spot. Campers are required to be fully contained , and they advertise a dump site. The dump site is almost impossible to get to, and is without a doubt the absolutely worst one we have ever encountered in our 30+ years of camping. The location is nice and peaceful, however very glorified on the website. All in all we could never recommend Gordon Creek or would not go there again. A one star rating is very generous.

Campground Response

Hello Harold, You're right, we are very new at this adventure and learning every day. The directions were generated by google and we are working to get them more accurate. We have absolutely not been able to keep up with the mowing and trimming thanks to the fact that there has been an astounding amount of rain this season, almost every day. We are thankful for that as for the past couple of seasons our spot in the mountains here has literally been on fire. We have taken the modern approach to things and are doing our bookings through our website. Paying someone to sit in an office waiting for arrivals would force us to raise prices. Believe it or not we have improved the dump site tremendously. It was far less level and far more difficult to maneuver before we moved in tons of fill dirt and we are bringing in more to try and make it better. Unfortunately these things take time. We were actually under the impression that you and your group had been there before, so all of this is a little confusing. We will continue to learn the business and improve our beautiful place here in the mountains and hope you come by again to see the changes and let us know how it could be better. Thank you!
