A great small family campground. The people were extremely friendly, with lots of activities, and the Halloween decorations were great! Everyone knew everyone, and were very welcoming. The dog park was very well maintained with lots of clean grass and big trees. We had a lovely view of the lake, camping in a 21 ft travel trailer.

First time camping here. Had no complaints. Camp Store is loaded with good stuff, food, ice cream, drinks and supplies. Staff were very friendly and Permanent Site Folks were inviting. They also had a long list of campground activities planned out for the season.

We had a fun Labor Day weekend as there is plenty of fun activities for children as we went to them all with our 7 & 8 year old granddaughters. They had coloring contests, scavenger hunt, banana bikes, game room, beach for swimming, sluice mining, and the coolest thing —a bubble cannon! The downsides were our site was small, felt crowded. The bathrooms were old but clean. The Lake had some agal bloom, but not terrible as we still swam, and it was a little loud till 11am quiet time. I also did not care for the $5 daily pass for guests to visit. People were friendly as the campground is at least 80% seasonal.

Our experience started out so good, the customer service was great, food was good, delivery of pizza right to the campsite and the biscuits and gravy were top notch! But, We stayed from Thursday to Monday, pulling upto the assigned campsite, majority of the site (besides the rock area to place the camper) was all mud, and it rained on top of that making it just a mess! Regardless, we didn’t let that hinder the experience so far. Friday the across the site neighbors arrived and had 20+ people at their site with 3 large dogs. One very aggressive in demeanor, and I say this because it ripped the older man out his chair and drug him on the ground 2x in one day trying to go after my 4lb dog and another lady’s that walked by. Which is a concern when the dog got loose the 3rd time and came charging over to our campsite. Luckily my little was in the camper. So that was first incident, second incident was with the 20+ people at one site, their children were playing with some flying rocket toys, and began hitting are vehicles with the toys and of Course we asked politely to not aim them at the vehicles please. Well after the 3rd time of them still Doing so and us saying cmon guys we’ve asked you nicely to not. Maybe go over to the field (2 sites down) and use it. The older man with the aggressive dog called me a stupid b****. I personally went over grabbed the toy off the top of my truck and threw it in our fire pit. At this point now I called the office to place a complaint, no one answered nor called back. So I let it go, and was trying to continue enjoying my time with my family that we paid for. About 40 mins later, the older kid threw a rock at the neighbor right next to us vehicle, which they were on the other side of their camper but we were able to see the incident. Of course we let them know, and say something again, to whole group of people. That is is not ok and not only are you causing issues with our property and experience now others that are here to enjoy their weekend too. One of the woman in their group, began yelling from the camper door, stating they are seasonal and we can get f***ed. Again attempted to call the office, and the line was busy. So Monday morning we are packing up and getting ready to leave the moment we are pulling out, the old Man with the aggressive dog which I’m assuming is the camper seasonal site owner, tells Hey, remind you my sons window is the only one open, this old Man flicks my son off with both hands, and tells him don’t come back you little b****. I of course at time of scam key return and Leaving provide this information to the office/store woman. She takes down all the notes. But it absolutely sets the wrong way. Bringing new customers and campers to their should be the goal, spreading positive times, memories and good reviews for future families to go there. Because the campground was great, amenities of the property, great. But if they allow their “seasonal campers” to treat new comers that way, they won’t have new comers! Part of my weekend was taken due to anxiously watching their dogs, our vehicles, being called names, and the profanity in front of my children. I would happily return and recommend you do, as long as your not around site B26!

Wonderful time and a great family campground! You could tell the staff worked really hard to provide lots of activities and things to do around the park. The beach foam party was fun for my pre-teens, we enjoyed karaoke on Friday night and the glow parade was a good time as well. We didn't go to bingo because they charged money for it. It's always free (included with your cost to stay) at the other campgrounds we have stayed in. This is mostly a seasonal campground (probably 90% or more). If you don't know someone staying seasonal, it could be very uncomfortable for you. The seasonal sites are WAY too cramped. Not something I would enjoy but the weekend sites were much better though lacking shade and pretty uneven. The camp store was well stocked and reasonably priced. My kids loved the ice cream and pizza. The swimming beach was small but the volleyball net kept the kids busy for a long time. This place was quite the party place which was wonderful to see! I get sick of the same old quiet a 10pm crap, when your on vacation, you want to have a good time! The monkey was absolutely awesome and we loved meeting him. It made it memorable for the kids! The WORST thing about the campground was the bathrooms. Very old, outdated, the toilets were always clogged and tiles were falling off the wall. Not the cleanest but it was a holiday weekend. I wish they would put some money into the bathrooms, it can make or break a camping trip for sure!! Overall a great experience and I would visit the campground again.

It was a lot of fun. Everything was very cheap. Large pizza $20, putt putt golf $2.50, etc. They have a lot of activities even on nights theres none posted. We were doing a girls night camping for my sister's birthday. Everyone at karaoke sang her "happy birthday". All the other campers were very friendly & welcoming.

The owners were super nice and accommodating! The camp store was amazingly stocked with a nice variety and even an ice cream parlor! However, the bathrooms and showers were not clean or sanitary. That was disappointing. 5 stars to the management and for the store. The bathrooms however don't deserve even 1 star. So overall they get a 2.

We booked a lakefront, full hook up site with a boat. When we arrived we were concerned with the tightness of the sites because we had a 43 foot Motorhome but were directed to Site E45. We drove to the site and found it was not only NOT lakefront but was also already occupied. A man drove up in a golf cart to ask us if we needed help finding our site and we pointed out to him it was already occupied and not lake front. I showed him our reservation on my phone and he said, boat? What boat, we don't have any boats. He offered to drive my husband in the golf cart to look at open sites, they drove through the park and found 2 sites both to short for our rig and both overlooking a garage. We drove up to the office to find out what we could do to get a refund since what we paid for did not match what was available. Everyone was very helpful but could not offer us much info until they talked to the owners. First call to the owners they offered us the price difference between a lakefront site to a regular site because all the lakefront sites are seasonal sites with no availability. We declined based on not what we paid for and the sites available were to short for our RV. A second call to the owner we were offered a full refund which we did take and returned home. I want to state that all the staff was very helpful and tried their best to fix the situation but I feel strongly that the reservation system is very flawed and misleading due to lack of lakefront sites and we never saw any boats available and were told all they had was canoes and kayaks. The price in total for 2 nights came to $314 and I do not feel what they offer warrants that kind of price.

First time there and second time taking the RV out. New to this RV life. The Campground is wonderful and I can see where families would enjoy it as there are many activities in which to participate for adults and kids. The campers were all friendly except for one grumpy fisherman who didn't appreciate us picking some trash out of the lake. He probably wasn't catching any fish. If I were to make one suggestion it would be to more clearly mark the lots. Some of the Lot numbers are not visible from the drive being on the back side of the Electrical Boxes. This is coming from a Sign Guy who is always looking at things like that. All things considered, we were pleasantly surprised that such a place existed so close to home. It felt like Up North Michigan.

I wish I could leave a great review but I can’t. The campground is old and run down, the basketball court has no hoops the bikes are junk and don’t work correctly. The lake is full of gunk even though they try their best to keep it down. Deer flies and mosquitos are terrible (that’s nature) maybe they could spray for them. We rented the cabin and it didn’t even have the essentials and for the price you would think it would. I have Verizon and had no service and they do not have WiFi just so your aware.

We have been camping here for approximately 10 years and love it. We do wish we could choose what site you want and wish there wasn’t so many sites taken by “full” time campers.

There was a hiccup of double booking us but it was promptly taken care of. We enjoyed our stay. Loved the sites us and our friends we were on. #38 & #39. The kids loved fishing every day. The caught a bunch over the weekend. The only disappointment was we aren't allowed to pick our sites. If we were to return we'd like to have these sites. You should charge a Fee like alot of campgrounds do to lock in sites.

A lot of seasonal campers there. Strange atmosphere, it’s hard to explain how it felt being there. It was like everyone knew each other and you were the outsider. It was Uncanny really. I would never stay there again. We stayed there blindly and I did not read reviews prior. Wish I would have done that first. We were in town for a wedding we had 7 miles away from this campground. Wish I had stayed at a hotel instead.
