Fort Willcox RV Park is located outside of the historical and beautiful city of Willcox, Arizona. It is a great place for an Arizona vacation or a night or two when passing through. The park is an easy exit from I-10 at mile 336, proceed 1 mile east. Campers can look forward to a cozy, quiet, desert setting filled with fresh air and wide-open skies. Southeast Arizona is famous for its majestic sunrises and sunsets. There are two garden areas provided for sunset viewing and stargazing, or early morning sunrise, which can also be viewed at your site. We are 2 miles from Keiller Park and Recreation area, which features a swimming pool and is a well-known spot for nature enthusiasts to explore, hike or bike. Willcox has a movie theatre, featuring current releases, and a few other interesting places to encounter for those seeking a bit of night life. Willcox is the home of The Rex Allen and Marty Robbins Museums, wine tasting and is the gateway to Fort Bowie Historical Site and the Magnificent Chiricahua monument and mountain range, which are popular spots for cultural and historical exploration. Many guests visit the multiple Vineyards and Apple Annie's Orchard (April to October) to enjoy the seasonal fruits of the land. 

The park is set on 17 acres, allowing space is on each side for horses and larger dogs to exercise. In the center of the Park is a beautiful gazebo, where many groups gather to share potluck dinners and barb-e-cue. 

Amenities at the park include: handicap restrooms, showers, pull thru sites, big rig access, water, sewer, and electrical hookups with WIFI and 30/50 amp sites. Sites with cable TV hookups are also available. Exercise room and rec hall for small group gatherings coming soon!

Fort Willcox Park offers complimentary waffles and fresh coffee most mornings (Jan-May) by reservation. Hope to see you soon!

Area Tips

The easiest way to get here is to to take Exit 336 when coming from I-10. Take frontage for 1 mile and we're on the right.

Quiet location, needs weed control and grass cut, bathrooms were hot and need fans or ac (it is located in Arizona), cost .50 to shower for 6 minutes so bring quarters, even though office sign stated office was open until 6:00 pm but no one was in the office to check us in. I had advance paid in advance reservations which the lady on the phone found and then assigned us a space.

Nice little quiet stop near Wilcox. Close to town, the Chiricahua National Monument and Tombstone. We enjoyed our stay.

Very, very nice park. Super clean. The office staff are great. Super deal at less than $50.00 per night. Only downfall is the white, chalky drive surface, but that isn't enough to detract from this excellent RV Park. 6 Stars.

Very few amenities, just basic place to stay with full hook ups. We found there were lots of sand spurs that ended up on our puppy and shoes, had to be careful where you walked. Conveniently located near Chiricahua National Monument and a relatively short drive to Tombstone, AZ.

Basic, Basic, Basic -- you got a place to park on the gravel with hook-ups -- that's it. Hook-ups did seem to work fine. The men's restroom was a disaster - almost no TP, no paper towels, a shower you had to pay for -- and all about as clean as your worst version of a gas station restroom. No manager onsite when I arrived, we did business by cell phone. Never, ever, saw the person. In no rush to stay again.

Gordon: Thank you for bringing any issue to our attention. Restrooms are cleaned daily at 11:00am. Apparently, the room must been left requiring attention prior to your use. You were provided my cell number when I sent your site assignment and information that we were running errands. Had I known of a situation, management would have resolved it.

We were disappointed. We paid $45 a night for a marginal campsite. To add insult to injury it had only a single toilet/shower for each gender and you had to pay to use the shower. This after paying a going camping rate of $45 a night.

wifi was a bit sketchy, but our stay was nice and quiet and restful. We enjoy the evening skies and early morning sunrise. Everything else worked as advertised and we would recommend Ft. Wilcox, especially if you are passing through. Easy on and off the freeway, and it is far enough away.

Pros: 1.) Owner/Managers/Staff are very pleasant and kind. Carol was very communicative before my arrival. She gave perfect directions and was very accommodating when my arrival was delayed. She greeted me the next morning with a big bag of fresh apples and veggies. 2) The park is quiet. You can hear the freeway traffic in the distance, but it is faint. Cons: 1). The bathroom was out of toilet paper for the full 48 hours that I was there. 2) The showers cost money, even if you pay for "premium" accommodation. The shower is coin operated - quarters only. There is no change machine in the bathroom. Currently, due to COVID-19, there is a coin shortage in Willcox. I went on a literal treasure hunt to get quarters. You get 6 minutes for two quarters. Bring your own egg timer, because otherwise you will have no idea when your time is almost up. There is no warning before the water cuts off. 3) The cable TV is very limited (about 12 channels with varying degrees of clarity/reception) About half the channels were very grainy/fuzzy. 4). The wifi was not strong enough to stream a movie without fits and starts. Download your shows ahead of time.

overall was okay, never did see the campground host, just a groundsman twice. Camp is right on a busy secondary road with alot of traffic day and night; contact to the management was weird, through a "screening", never just a direct contact. Hookups okay, we did get a visit from a sheriff's deputy as someone in the campground thought our dogs were crated too much. They are hunting dogs, are out all day hunting, prefer their crates for comfort and safety, not running loose as some other dogs in the campground were. The deputy agreed and left, really annoying to have that occur, if the complainer would have had the courage to just ask about them!! We probably won't be back as there are several other grounds in Willcox.

Everything worked as advertised including tv channels and WiFi. Nice folks! Nice park! There is a transfer pump that transfers waste from the park - they have to turn it on when the sewer is full - be sure to ask them, otherwise it fills up.

Nice basic park. Compact gravel level sites. FHU all worked well. Easy on/off the interstate, pull thru site near entrance made it super easy coming and going. Great for a 1 nite stay, just passing through

Ok, women’s bathroom clean, people nice but very distant, unable to access men’s Bathroom(even when code finally given), no one at the office, they didn’t know we reserved on line and wondered what we were doing there.

Very good! The folks there were very accommodating and so nice!! We needed some extra time to visit Cochise Lake to see the birds on the day we left and we also decided on another spot which suited our needs better and they were very helpful! We thank them for their gift of oranges and tomatoes, too!

OK for an overnight. Easy acess from the interstate and pretty quiet. Friendly helpful folks. But, park seems quite run down. Coin showers and old restrooms, no toilet paper or paper towels. Didn't use laundry but lots of out of order signs. Permanent residents with barking dogs. With Escapees discount and Rover Pass platform fee paid $37 a night, you can do better in town.

Stayed for two nights, ok for a night or two if necessary but park needs a lot of work and TLC. New owners as of a couple of weeks ago so no more coffee and waffles as mentioned previously. Coin showers that they are supposedly doing away with. Paid $22 per night with passport America discount which we thought was way overpriced for what it is currently.
