Elkhorn Campground

This is right ON the Elkhorn river, which is a great kayaking river/creek you can take to historic Georgetown. With waterfalls nearby , this RVP offers FHU sites for $31 a night, offers a children playground, pool and tent sites that back up to the creek. We don't have kayaks or canoes, but after seeing THIS park, we are really tempted to buy one! Very clean, mostly spacious sites and shady trees, but not so much folks didn't have their satellites out. Frankfort is the KY capital and there is shopping and dining 15 minutes into town.
