The Dios Rios RV Park is located in the beautiful Texas town of Mason and is a great place for an authentic southern vacation. We are a small, beautiful river park with 19 spacious RV sites, 2 cabins, a vintage airstream, and more natural beauty than you’d believe possible in central Texas. All sites are 50-foot back-ins with water, 50/30/20 power and waste with strong WiFi covering the park for those in need! There’s plenty of signal to check email, Facebook, and surf the web. Campers can look forward to a number of nearby attractions such as Mason Mountain for hiking, biking, scenic viewing and stargazing, the Eckert James River Bat Cave Preserve and the Mason Square Museum. There's also plenty of places for bear and wine tasting, hunting, historic sightseeing, canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking, and of course visitors and residents alike can take advantage of the area's many local eateries. Whether its for a night or two, we hope to see you soon!

The park was nice. I think they should add more restroom capacity.

Campground Response

Thanks for the nice review. Just fyi, wanted to make sure you were aware we have one restroom at the welcome center plus the full bathhouse on the upper level next to site 31. The bath house has 4 restrooms, 2 indoor showers, and 3 outdoor showers. In any event we're always working to improve the park and additional restrooms are definitely on the long term road map.

This was our first time, and it was perfect we stayed in a cabin by the way a very nice and clean one, second day we camped out and we had an amazing time. Tammy the manager was so sweet she checked up on us throughout our stay, made sure we were ok or if we needed anything. We will definitely will take another trip.

We were there last year for July the 4th, 2020 weekend. Absolutely loved it. We are going back again this year can't wait for July the 4th weekend. Everyone you meet are friends that you haven't met yet. God made it just for you.

Wow, what a great place for a quiet "Get Away from the City" or just a "Get Away" from anywhere. Facilities very clean and beautiful area to enjoy the scenery. Surrounded by the beautiful Llano River and its rapids. Rooms very clean and beds very comfortable. Don't expect much from internet and cell phone. There is just not much there. But this should be expected when you travel this deep into beautiful Hill Country of Mason, Texas. Which this should be the reason of the "Get Away". Just away from it all ! One of the most important things we were impressed with at this resort that you'll find is the Dos Rios manager, Tammy and her personal. What an enlightening person Tammy is. She is there for you the guest. One of the most hard working ladies that you will ever be around and the nicest. If there is a problem, Tammy is there to make it right with her guest. If you need something done or just a simple question, she is there to help. Enjoyed our stay at the Dos Rios Resort and you will enjoy visiting the quite City of Mason. My wife and I will definitely be back !!!

We stayed in tent sites and had a short easy trail to the river. This place in on the Llano river just down from where James river meets Llano river. our trip was far better than we could imagine. Stars were visible and the people were friendly and fun. We will be bring more friends out soon.

Enjoy the view. River was right there, so easy to get to. Park just was really helpful. Can’t wait to go back. I will recommend to all my friends . Tent sites had everything. We hung out and watched the stars at night.

Reservation's were easy and price was very reasonable. We were in RV space 21 to the immediate left when you enter park. RV Space was unlevel as was the area where table was and spots in this area are VERY close together. There were a lot of stickers and scorpions so beware. River was beautiful and overall we enjoyed our stay. Will come back and try to get a spot not so close to highway.

I am amending my previous review solely on the fact that the owner of the park reached out and actually took to heart what I posted and did his best to fix the issues that we had. He also gave us a refund which he didn't have to do. I initially gave it two stars but have now changed it to four. The only thing that I cannot amend on my review is the way we were treated by the assistant manager. We reserved a spot three weeks in advance only to show up and someone else is in it and has been there for two weeks. The "landlord", for lack of a better word, told my wife that we could move to spot 37 and blamed it on a glitch in their booking system. I was not satisfied with 37 as it had no trees so we pulled into 38. We went back down to let her know that we would prefer 38. Knocked on the door and she came out with an attitude and said that 38 was taken. OK, well 33 was taken by us via reservation three weeks ago. She ended up letting us stay in 38 which is a good thing because we would've left and they wouldn't have cared either way. We chose this place based upon the reviews, pictures and the fact that the Llano River is absolutely gorgeous. The waterfront sites are by far the best spots (in my opinion) but the ones at the top aren't too shabby. My only complaint would be that you can't see the river from the spots at the top, other than 39, which is the glamping spot. Great view! If you want to get to the river you can drive down to the "common area" or you leave the RV park and drive down the hill to the water. With that said, the river alone is worth the trip. The people that live in the park are super cool and very friendly and the town of Mason is just great! And I'll say it again, the river alone is worth the trip.

Charming park in a gorgeous hill county setting on the Llano River. Perfect base for fishing and kayaking. Clean facilities. Attentive staff. The nearby town of Mason is great. Also, don't miss the bat cave!

This is a really majestic and beautiful park that is really nicely priced. I am so glad we found this gem! The staff was so helpful and very affable. The park itself was nicely maintained and they had so many amenities we couldn’t ask for more! The activities they had were a blast and so relaxing. We spend a long time here making sure everyone was able to get the full experience of all that they offered. The sites were not only spacious but there was a great variety for all kinds of camping. I loved the location as it was just stunning, beautiful and majestic to see. This is definitely a new traditional spot.
