This family-friendly park is operated in conjunction with the Desoto Caverns and they did a bang up good job. The excitement of the many attractions just bubbles over into the campgrounds.
With 16 well shaded RV sites, they provide full hookups, electrical, water, sewage, pull-thru parking, grills, picnic tables, free WiFi, laundry, restrooms, private shower rooms, ice machine and fire rings. There’s a large pavilion and log cabin gift shop. If you prefer to pitch your tent, spots are provided for you at a reduced rate. This spot truly has it all.
Guests are honored with free passes to the beautiful and historic DeSoto Caverns. But, there are over 20 more fun filled attractions, like the giant Lost Trail Maze and Wacky Water Golf. The kids (and adults) might like a game of Frisbee golf or to race each other on Pedal Go Karts.
Some of the exciting things to do in the Childersburg area include: the Kymulga Covered Bridge & Gristmill, Selwood Farm Sporting Clays and Hunting Preserve in Alpine, Talladega Superspeedway and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in Talladega.
And for dining out on the town, you might want to check out Tierra Caliente, Golden Star Chinese, Hometown BBQ & Grille or Jack’s Family Restaurant.
Add this spot to your travel plans, for sure. Hope to see you soon!
