Great place. Well taken care of and clean.

Absolutely loved this camp ground! Great amenities and it was quiet for the most part during our stay until a wedding showed up. Only issue was I wish we had a forewarning the wedding was an event happening there! We yelled at quite a few super drunk drivers leaving the venue to clean up their garbage we witnessed them litter around camp right by us obligating to pick up, as littering is one thing we’ve never stood for!!

Campground Response

I'm so glad you liked our campground! Unfortunately I cant predict how people are going to behave. Usually people have enough respect and common decency to know better, obviously some don't. I hope you understand that was out of our control. I surely did not enjoy picking up after them either!!!! Next time you come, you can always check deadcoltcreek.net or Roverpass to see if the Pavilion is reserved. Thank you for your review!

It was a pleasent stay. Site was clean but oder from a nearby cattle farm and a pond was a bit nasty when the wind was from that direction. Not any thing the campground could have done. One thing that did bother me a bit was I got an email notice about no tents allowed on RV sites and I was to remove it right away. The only time a tent was on my site was while an air mattress was being inflated using our power and then was placed on it's designated site. Thought the notice was a bit premature as it was only there a few minutes.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. The notice was sent because there were no reserved tent sites on the east side except for one which is a person I know personally. Therefore we send the notice as a reminder of the policy. Thanks again!

There was no notice about the lake having blue algae and had to find out once I got there, the website should have said that or an informal email should have been sent out.

Campground Response

It has not been confirmed by the state yet. There are signs up at the boat ramp and beach with a qr code people can scan for updates once they are available. This time of year in ND you can expect smaller lakes to turn green. Sorry for any inconvenience.

This is a small lake which is nice to get away from the business of some of the larger lakes. The campground is well maintained with nice amenities. The staff we came across were very polite and friendly. There are multiple large play grounds for kids along with a nice beach and swimming area. We have been going here for about 5 years now and it is always a fun time taking the family and camping and enjoying our time on the lake.

Parties out of control. Very loud . I was a first time camper in a tent and was disgusted by how there is no control . Ruined my experience. Well not go again.

Campground Response

The first big camping weekend starts Memorial weekend, we had plenty of other tent spots available to use. I would have accommodated your request for a more secluded tent spot if I had known you were not satisfied. If you ever do decide to come back, I am always available to help pick something more suited for the experience you are looking for.

Campground was fine. Rained for 15 minutes before we left, the road out was a muddy mess. Both truck and trailer were full of mud even though I went 10 to 15 mph. I left Friday at 7 pm The only others camping were in long term not day at a time camping. Again campground was good but the mess if it rains is not worth it.

Wonderful campground with nice trees. Super quiet. Bit of a walk to the beach but still a very nice place to camp.

Found the place easily with GPS! Got the perfect campsite. Facilities were well maintained and clean. Our picnic table and shelter were just perfect for our needs! The venue is so beautiful! Lovely views of forests and the creek! Not a lot of people while we were there, so it was quiet and peaceful. Best part was sitting out around the fire watching the shooting starts each night! Gorgeous!

We got lucky and reserved a spot on the west campground (east campground was PACKED!) and were almost the only ones over there!! We were secluded and it was so quiet and peaceful, so beautiful overlooking the water! Two boat docks are nice. Both nights a loud pickup came through in the middle of the night and was revving its engine really loud, woke everyone in our group. Other than that it was such a great stay! Really loved it!! Amenities nice and clean, and we left them that way. Will probably be back next spring in hopes of a little better fishing.
