Camp host was very nice. No issues at all

We reserved and paid for 4 days and left after one. Nothing was open that we expected from reviews on the internet, the campground bathroom was a porta potty, and I think it was a pile driver just across the road that was pounding all day.

Location was very convenient and camp host was very nice. The portable toilet was very clean, and the wifi worked great. Having a running water bathroom would make this a 5 start review instead of a 4 star.

Attendants did not monitor parking reservations and many RV's were taking up 1.5-2 spots instead of their one. Also, attendants allowed RV's to park in main lot without reservations, which caused parties with reservations to have to park in auxiliary lot.

Great location to spend a weekend hiking in the shadow of Mt Rainier and the slopes of Crystal Mountain. Be advised that the website says no RV Dump and water station availability, to include water service at your site. The sites are situated at the edge of a sloping port to starboard parking lot. Bring at least 4 inches of blocking for the downhill side of your trailer. Large boulders and potholes in the lot itself. Take it slo while driving and you’ll be ok. Lot drainage improvements are in progress.

We had a reservation for months- when arrived we were told they gave away many spaces to first come first serve by mistake. We were initially given a space that was so tight we could barely open our front door. We moved to a second space that was very tight and we were unable to open our awning in the rain because we were so close. Terrible organization, tight spaces like sardines, lots of unhappy campers.

I had booked a tent camping spot for 8 people Fri/sat August 23/24. We booked in May for the Ragnar Race that was happening in August. We were bringing 4 smaller kids with us. With the race making camping very busy there was not a camping spot left for us when we arrived. We had to camp in Lot G which had no access to water and was a gravel parking lot for RVs. Due to weather we made the choice not to bring the kids last minute, so the no water/gravel lot was not as horrible as it could have been. I even called the week prior to make sure we had a spot, so I would suggest some communication from the campground for events like this. We could have brought water and adjusted better had we known that even though we reserved a spot we did not have one. Thanks!

We participated in the Ragnar event this weekend with four reservations. In the past, it was first-come, first-served, and we were assigned spots upon arrival. However, this time felt chaotic and disorganized. We were told to find any available spot, which resulted in our group being split up, with one of us ending up in a different lot. To make matters worse, some spots were occupied by tents and canopies where our RV could have fit. There was no system in place to check for proper reservations, and the lack of organization led to a frustrating experience. The overall atmosphere was disappointing, with many people being unkind. We have participated in this event many times, each year feeling the same disorganization but this time was by far the worst experience.

Poor communication and disorganized. When you have a question they just refer to the RV site which then refers you back to rover.

Very easy area for setting up camp! Though it was mid August, there were very few of us there (approx 10 that weekend). One setup was an electric truck pulling their rig, they booked a 50 amp space which also has 30 amp service so they were able to charge their vehicle and have power for their rig. There are hiking trails and the gondola which takes you to the summit where there are more trails and incredible views! The only down side is no water or dump stations but you can find several places to dump within an hour away.

The potable toilet should have been pumped before we got there and the host should have talked to other campers that had a campfire about the burn ban that's in place.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Our stay was less than 8 hours and was by far the worst camping experience I've had. I booked a tent site at the Rv Park and was sent a reservation confirmation with my site number. When we checked in, we got set up at the tent pad we reserved. All of the tent sites were on top of each other and had no privacy. There was a chair in front of our site, but no sign of anyone's belongings. At 10pm when I was dead asleep another camper started banging on my tent and harassing my partner and I, saying we were in her site. Even though I had reserved the site three weeks ago, she had come in the day before booked a night and took my reserved site and I was not made aware at check in. When trying to resolve the issue with the camp host and security they were not helpful. It took almost two hours and instead of having the people who harassed us after quiet hours move they made us move our tent to the hard gravel without a tent pad. When I asked for a refund, I didn't even get the full amount back! The lack of organization, double booking, and customer service made this a horrible experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I enjoyed every minute of my time camping at Crystal Mountain. The hosts were fabulous, the views are amazing, and the little creek behind the camp sites was a nice surprise. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Ok campsite for full RVs with water and black waste tanks. There is an electric hookup but no water and sewer. Sites are pretty packed in so if it’s full you won’t have outdoor space. We came during a not busy season so it wasn’t a problem. There is a port a loo for the campers that don’t have toilets, but it wasn’t changed out enough. It definitely got full and should be serviced more often. Location gets 3 stars because its convenient to the lodge/gondola and it’s a 20 minute drive to the sunrise corridor entrance to Mt Rainier which made it convenient for is.

This was a great spot for our family to stay to explore the area. There was a bit of noise from semi's but other than that, it was nice. We were lucky enough to get a nice spot next to the river! The hosts were great to work with!

Less dust and litter than last visit in Summer 2023. Host was friendly and helpful. Employee shuttle van drivers still speed through lot kicking up dust needlessly. Honey Bucket was clean for first couple days but did not receive daily checks. Gondola and Summit areas need better ADA access for ederly and disabled visitors (my 81 year old Mother was unsteady walking down path from top of Gondola to the viewing patio due to uneven surfaces and no handrails).

Our night at Crystal Mountain met our primary goal of being fireworks free and we were pleasantly surprised by the green space behind our spot and the nice flowing creek. However there were vehicles racing through the gravel parking lot some doing donuts and churning up all kinds of dust and gravel. If Crystal is serious about becoming a summer resort and charging almost $60 for a space and a parking lot, they need to add some basic amenities, like access to showers.

Love the convenience and location! Staff is friendly. Porta potties for us van folk in the winter at least, trash onsite. No water/dump stations (as listed, not a suprise). Dogs are welcome, but don't expect folks to have them on a leash. Not a huge deal, but hard for folks like us with dogs that don't like other doggos!
