Very friendly and welcoming. Great location on outskirts of town. Stayed in a boondock site with a curious herd of pronghorn in sight. Property also has a petting farm with longhorns and goats that you can feed. Great place to stop in for an overnight or longer stay.

The Campground is very quiet, spacious and close to Hot Springs State Park. Beautiful Antelopes were running around the campground. Wyatt, the owner is quite a character, very friendly and generously offered us some eggs from his chickens. He has quite a few goats and 2 long horns. This is a new campground, there is no WiFi (T-Mobile cell service was ok, I was able to stream). The shower house and laundry is not available yet, it’s being built. We had full hookups and we went into Thermopolis to do our laundry. I would stay here again.

We loved our stay! Wyatt and his manager are friendly and well-prepared for visitors! They are working to grow their business and prove that hospitality is not dead, and a stranger is just someone you haven't yet met!

Campground Response

Thank you for the kind words! We are so glad that you stayed with us and until next time, travel safe!

Our family of 5 had a nice time tent camping for our one night. It’ll be nice when the shower house is completed too. I will recommend Crippled Spider to my family and coworkers who may be traveling to Thermopolis in the next few years.

I highly recommend staying at the crippled spider. The park is very spacious and well laid out. It's easy to get to and very close to the hot springs in Thermopolis. Wyatt and Alma are very friendly and take care of everything that you need.

Spot was great. Kids could run around, dogs made some new friends. They give you free firewood for your site and the guys were really kind and helpful!

This campground is superbly laid out, providing campers plenty of space and easy parking of rigs. An added nicety is the big indoor horse arena! Crippled Spider is less than three years old (as of May 2024), well maintained, and is brining in more and more amenities. Very nice and proficient owner and manager. We liked it so much that we returned home on the same route so we could specifically stay at Crippled Spider on the way back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crippled Spider! Loved the pull through site, it had easy access to full hook-ups. Staff was great and very helpful. We loved the central location and found it easy to tour around many locations in Wyoming then return to our "Home Base" after a day of sightseeing. Will return!

A rustic tent camping experience. Wyatt is very friendly. Brought us firewood for a campfire. The most beautiful stars in the sky I’ve ever seen. The only negative we experienced was a train nearby in the middle of the night

We spent Labor Day weekend at this campground and it was so relaxing! It was close to town, quiet, the owner was so nice and brought us firewood and checked on us several times. The campground is spread out so you are not packed side by side like so many other campgrounds. We will definitely return!
