Lancaster / New Holland KOA

This campground has a beautiful view and is clean. We cannot say much for the owners of this campground. And it has so many rules. Some of the rules are ok but others are ridiculous. Like dogs are not allowed to bark, no exceptions (it actually says that in their brochure). First they guide you to your site which really isn't an issue but they tell you where to pull up and you must stay right there (they will make you back up if you pull up too far). We typically like more room in the front but whatever. And you have to park your vehicle where they tell you, exactly. We did not have a fire ring so they brought us one and when we asked where we could put it the answer was "right where I put it". Then we had friends stop by (they were not even staying 30 min. they were at a nearby campground) the owner Bob came charging out of his house/office fixing his pants and fastening his belt and demanded $6.00 from each. When we said they were not staying he said "well I'll stand right here until they leave". And when they turned around to leave he followed them to the gate to make sure they left. We were embarrassed as to how our friends and ourselves were treated. We have paid for people to visit us in the past so that was not a problem but they were not staying. These owners have no people skills or customer service skills at all. They not only drove away us for future customers but I know our friends will never stay there either. The only way I would recommend this campground is if it is sold and run by someone who appreciates there guests. And this campground has no amentities but we never use them anyway so that was not an issue but just letting everyone know that.
