Maximum 6 people on a single campsite – either a maximum of 4 adults or a combination of 2 adults and 4 dependent children. Charges for additional campers will apply.
Camp fees must be paid upon arrival at the campground. No hook-ups will be provided until Cloud Nine Camping has received payment
Long-term reservations must be paid electronically and in advance. Seasonal reservations may be paid monthly, but each month must be paid by the 1st of the month.
Extended stays must provide a copy of proof of insurance at the beginning of every month.
Cloud Nine Camping reserves the right to remove vehicles of guests that refuse to provide payment. Towing will be at the owner’s expense.
Cloud Nine Camping reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time for any reason, with 24-hours written notice.
Guests may check-in as early as 4:00 PM in our lodging sites and 2:00pm for our RV sites. Guests must check-in by 9pm. If it will be later that 9pm please let management know(if checking in past 10pm, you MUST be as quiet as possible.) Average time for the darkness to settle in is 9pm in the summer. We ask you to be on your site and settled in by 9pm as it may be difficult to find your site in the dark.
Quiet and dark times are from 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM. No generators between these hours, as well as no bright lights. Excessive noise is not permitted at any time. Please be considerate to your fellow campers.
Speed limit within the campground is 5 mph, no exceptions.
Use of ATVs, dirt bikes, or other recreational vehicles is not permitted within park boundaries, though they may be driven to get on and off the property.
Protect our trees! No trimming, cutting, or gathering from trees. Firewood bundles are available for purchase at the front building or purchased at check out (please check out or firewood/firepit policy) Please do not climb trees or put any nails into the trees.
Campfires are permitted ONLY within the fire pits provided and are subject to State Fire Regulations / Bans.
Children must be supervised at all times. Parents are responsible for their children’s safety and conduct, and any injuries or damage that they may incur or cause. Unsupervised children who cause disruption for other guests may be asked to leave the park with their entire group.
Campers are responsible for everyone on their campsite. Non-registered visitors are required to leave the campground by 10:00 PM. Disturbances past 11:00 PM could result in the group being removed from the park.
No refunds will be provided for any guest who is removed for violation of park policy.
Pets are welcome, however must abide by the rules in our pet policy state below
Please be respectful of your and our neighbor’s privacy. Do not enter another guest’s campsite without their permission. Land surrounding the North entrance our campground is private property and unauthorized access will be considered trespassing.
Fireworks are illegal in the Black Hills and will not be permitted at Cloud Nine Camping
Please be careful when using the Sani Dump station. Guests who leave a mess will be charged a clean-up fee of $50.00.
Please dispose of all garbage into the dumpster. Guests who leave a mess will be charged a minimum clean-up fee of $100.00.
Guests are responsible for any and all damage caused by a member of their party. Cloud Nine Camping has a Damage Policy that further outlines these terms and conditions.
Cleanliness of the park is important to us. Sites are to be kept clean and orderly, as determined by the park management. No clutter that could be considered a hazard – such as fire or pests – and is unsightly for other guests. No items should be stored beneath an RV/trailer.
Please leave restrooms as you find them. No smoking or pets in any buildings.
Mail is NOT to arrive here for anyone, this is NOT a home address for any guests. Please go to your nearest postal office and request a PO Box. A letter provided from the camp office can state that you are a guest here.
Physical or verbal abuse, including threats or intimidation, toward any park staff, guest, or visitor, will not be tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly, which may include removal or police involvement.
Public intoxication and drug use of any kind is not tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the park. Alcohol may be consumed within the confines of your campsite only.
• Pets are allowed, but there is a $40 fee • Pets must be leashed and their waste picked up • Pets must never be left unattended inside the camper while you are offsite. This is very important as the breaker for the AC could trip and leave your pet trapped inside a hot RV without you knowing. • All guests and pets must be included when booking or added before the day the booking starts - all guests/pets must be approved • Additional tents are allowed at sites 2-6 but must be confirmed. Any additional people on the listing will be a $10 charge per person. • The bathroom and water tanks are emptied by employees and are emptied based on how many people are occupying the listing, therefore it is crucial for us to know how many people will be occupying the camper. • If you have more than one vehicle or have a trailer, please let us know and ask about additional parking • The ladder on the camper is off limits, please do not climb on the camper • The building on the campground is off limits to guests • No smoking inside the camper (minimum of $300 fee, or whatever is costs to remove smoke smell/burns)/ cigarette butts must be picked up • Please remove trash/cigarette butts from firepit prior to your departure • Please make sure fire is 100% out before leaving unattended. Any remaining embers could be caught in the wind and start a forest fire. • If there are local fire restrictions, camp fires will not be permitted • Please keep any shared spaces cleaned and picked up • Guests are required to tidy up and wash any dishes and utensils that have been provided for use. • Please arrive before 10pm as to not disturb other guests • Quiet hours begin at 10pm and end at 7am • A check out later than 1 hour past check out time, will result in a fee of the following days nightly base price
The policy applies to online, phone-in, and walk-in reservations. • Reservations less than 30 days: • Payment in full is required to complete any booking of 28 days or less. • Reservations 28 days or more: • For extended stays, we require one month to be paid in full in order to complete the booking. • Payment for subsequent months must be paid prior to the beginning of the next month. • No exceptions. Monthly bookings with overdue payments will be cancelled. • We do not accept deposits – campsites must be paid in full upon reserving. • All reservations will receive an electronic reservation confirmation. Please review this confirmation and contact the park office immediately if there are any discrepancies. • All reservations booked online or over the phone will be subject to a non-refundable administrative booking fee. • Failure to provide payment on the first day of any booking will result in the immediate cancellation of the campsite reservation. • Credit card information will be stored on file for the duration of the campsite booking.
Extra charges that may apply (extra people/pets, tents, oversized RVs, etc.) are payable at the time of booking.
If you shorten your reservation at check in or less than 15 days prior to arrival, you do not receive a refund for those days.
Cloud Nine Camping reserves the right to move any booking to another site. Bookings may be subject to site changes without notice to accommodate longer bookings or larger RV units. Cloud Nine Camping makes every attempt to accommodate requests and keep groups close together.
Reservation fee payments will confirm that you have read and agree to all policies, rates, rules, and regulations.
Leave your campsite in the same condition you found it (or better).
Guests are responsible for all damage or destruction of property, and any injury to persons, caused by the guest or his or her family, visitor or pets.
We reserve the right to charge guests accordingly for any damage they cause to any campsite, including but not limited to broken waterlines, damaged/missing sewer connections, cable lines, tables, landscaping, natural areas, and excessive debris (bottle caps, zip ties, cigarette butts, etc.).

Nothing should be left in the firepits except wood. Garbage (including things that can be burned) must be placed in the receptacles. 𝐃𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐭 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.. Anything left within the fire rings will be considered damage and is subject to a minimum cleaning/repair fee of $100.
Rental of products (easy-ups, coolers, etc.) will require a form of security. Reservations completed with a credit card will not be require to provide a damage deposit, however the guest agrees that any damage, as noted above, is subject to a cleaning/repair fee of $100 or more, or damage fees of $250 or more.
Guests unable to secure a facility reservation with a credit card will be required to provide a damage deposit of $250. This will be returned upon visual inspection at check-out.
Guests may bring usual household pets such as dogs and cats to the campground. If uncertain of an animal type’s allowance, please contact the campground prior to arrival. Cats are not allowed in lodging sites.
Guests are permitted a maximum of two (2) dogs per lodge and will be charged a $40 pet fee(this does not apply to RV Sites). Please ask about more dogs. Each additional dog will add $20 to the reservation if approved by management
Pets must be kept on a leash AT ALL TIMES, including within the confines of the campsite, with the exception of within the off-leash area. Pets are not permitted to roam freely. Pets must not be left tied up or otherwise unattended at any time.
For the safety and consideration of others, pets must not be noisy, aggressive, vicious, or unruly. Any guest unable to control their pet, even on-leash, must remove them from the campground or their reservation will be cancelled.
Guests are responsible for any injuries or damage caused by their pets. In addition, the owner of any pet that causes injury or damage to another camp guest is expected to resolve the issue directly with the injured party. We are not responsible for any injuries or damage caused by pets.
Owners are responsible for pick-up and disposal of their pet’s waste. Any messes or damage caused by the pet are the responsibility of their owner.
Pets are not permitted inside any campground buildings.
Service animals are permitted in all locations of the park. No costs are charged for service animals. If a service animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it, staff may request that the animal be removed from the premises. Confirmation may be requested to prove the necessity of the animal.
Please note, Cloud Nine Camping may have several camp cats that roam freely for the purpose of rodent control. These are the only animals permitted within the campground to be off-leash and they should not be subjected to any sort of abuse from guests or their pets. Please keep cats outside of Cloud Nine Camping provided lodging.
• All firewood must be purchased from Cloud Nine Camping, no outside firewood allowed. There will be a $100 fine if this is found. Not only as we work hard and/or pay for firewood to be on sale on-site, but mainly as bringing firewood from outside areas can bring in bugs not local to our area. Those bugs can spread to our trees and can devestate our tree population. 𝐍𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. • Fires must be contained inside of fire rings and must be attended at all times. • No burning of garbage, cans, glass, etc. • 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐁𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃/𝐎𝐑 𝐂𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐓𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐒. 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐀 $𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐄. • Fires must be extinguished when left unattended. All embers must be extinguished. All it takes is one ember to be picked up by wind to start a forest fire. • Cutting of any standing trees on the premises is prohibited. This includes the small saplings which are the trees of the next generation. • Please be aware that due to extreme drought conditions that local, state, or Federal government agencies may place campfire and grilling restrictions throughout the Black Hills including campgrounds.
• By agreeing to these terms you are agreeing you understand that during the winter the water will not be turned on to your site. • While space heaters are not recommended, no camper may have more than one space heater connected at a time. This is a fire hazard.
𝐔𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: Utilities are built into the monthly price. However the campground reserves the right to drop the monthly rate, install a meter to your site and begin charging for utilites. In this scenario, your monthly rate will decrease by $125/month Your satisfaction is very important to us. We appreciate that you have chosen to spend your time with us and want to make sure you and all our guests enjoy their stay. With this in mind, we have outlined some basic RV standards and site standards to ensure that we maintain a standard of quality in our campground. We must reiterate that this is a CAMPGROUND – we are not a permanent residence and cannot be treated as such. Regular camping rules remain in effect at all times.
The quality of RVs in a resort or campground can contribute to or detract from the overall experience of all camp guests. For this reason, we enforce some standards of appearance on RVs, similar to those in place at many other RV resorts and campgrounds.
•𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭: Please note that “good condition” does not mean “new,” and we do not typically have an age limit for RVs. • 𝐑𝐕 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:Vehicles must be certified and insured. Proof of insurance is required.
RVs should look and function how they were originally designed. The following appearance guidelines apply to all extended stay campers. Guests staying during the winter season will have more stringent requirements to adhere to.
Doors, shrouds, panels, windows and coverings, etc. should be intact and not unsightly.
Exterior should be not unsightly and should be free of obvious, poorly-repaired damages.
Tarps cannot be used for weatherproofing and awnings should be in good condition.
For winter stays, tarps are permitted but must be WHITE.
Air conditioning units should not be added through the walls or windows unless previously approved.
The exterior should be free of duct tape, repair tape, excessive caulk, etc.

𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆: • Minor body damage which has been properly repaired but is still visible. • Fading of decals and/or paint. • Minor window cracking, although replacements should be scheduled. • Damage from traveling that has just happened, especially if you have a repair plan.
We all need to be good neighbors to our fellow campers! No one likes to camp next to a messy site, and a messy campsite can be an open invitation to unwanted wildlife. Remember, this is a CAMPGROUND, not a permanent residence.

• Guests shall not make any alteration to the electric, water or sewer connections provided by the campground/resort. • Guests should adhere to specific legal requirements when connecting to sewer, water and electric services at the campground/resort. • Guests should be able to move your rig very quickly in case of emergency.
• Tents and “easy-up”-type structures are for temporary use only, limited to seven days. • Management can approve more substantial, semi-permanent shade structures, in accordance with the individual property guidelines. • Only form-fitting bike/car covers are allowed. Carports are prohibited.
Exterior furnishings should be appropriate for outdoor/camping use. Indoor furnishings including but not limited to sofas, chairs, refrigerators, freezers and kitchen tables are not allowed on your campsite.
Fencing is limited to 24” in height and may be utilized only in the area under the rig awning.
Flags and signs that display political, controversial, vulgarity or profanity are not allowed to be displayed at your site or throughout the campground.
Here are some tips and recommendations for running an RV safely and efficiently during the winter:
The purpose of this is to prevent moisture in your trailer which could lead to mold. Windows and walls get extreme condensation due to heaters, body heat, and cooking inside.
Plug-in heaters/fireplaces make a huge difference on warmth inside an RV. Too many though, could draw too much power and trip your RV breakers or cause a fire. Space heaters are not recommended, but no more than one space heater may be plugged in at one time.
Examine the seals and caulking around the RV windows and replace any areas that are missing or weak. Replace weather stripping around exterior doors to prevent cold air and moisture from leaking out.
Window film and reflective foil are affordable and effective ways to further insulate your RV windows. Foil lined reflective insulation can be cut to fit your RV windows and added bonus reflecting heat back into the RV.
Use heavy drapes. Thick fabric drapes block cold drafts around the windows and keep warm air in during chilly evenings. Insulated curtains can also be used to separate the cockpit and living space, so you have a smaller area to heat.
Insulate the floors. Foam board flooring can be used to insulate the RV floor. Nobody likes freezing toes. If you prefer not to purchase foam board flooring, heavy rugs and carpets can also help block cold air that may come up.
Wind blowing underneath your RV can cause water tanks to freeze and suck heat out. Installing RV skirting around the base of the RV can block cold winds from damaging vehicle components and chilling the interior. 𝑵𝑶𝑻𝑬: 𝑾𝒆 𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒊𝒍 𝒃𝒖𝒃𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. Use heat tape on pipes and hoses. Wrap your freshwater hose and sewer hose with heat strips to keep the lines warm and prevent freezing. Heat tape can be applied around valves and connections most at risk of freeze-ups. You can also add foam insulation in addition to heat tape for extra protection
Warm your internal plumbing. Open your bathroom and kitchen cabinets, so your trailer’s heating can keep internal plumbing warm. Allowing a small drip from faucets can also help combat freezing by water moving.
Check your RV furnace before you use it to ensure it is working condition. Clean your furnace using compressed air or a soft brush to remove dirt and debris. Check the furnace vents for any damage or obstructions that could prevent air from flowing properly and check that the furnace air return is not blocked.
Cover your AC unit. This prevents cold drafts. Be sure you have vent covers as they reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and can release some of the moisture from inside
Take care of plastic components. They can become brittle from the cold.
Change batteries in safety devices such as fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector. They save lives!

During the wet season (particularly spring), road conditions in the park can become muddy, try to avoid driving on the same muddy spots every day, or contact management for site repairs.
