Close to the city / castle, across the street from beer and down the road from the steak house. Bathrooms, showers, great views on site. What's not to like? Will definitely stay here again.

City of Rocks Climb and Camp is an excellent campsite when visiting City of Rocks. Very clean, hot showers, bathrooms, hook-ups and close proximity to recreation. We will return!

Clean, peaceful beautiful views and nice new bathrooms and showers. The only thing they could use is a dump station.

Close to the hot springs. Water for fire pits. Big open skies. Warmer than up in the park and closer to Castle Rocks.

We’re tent campers who usually stay in the reserve for our annual fall climbing trip, but this year we didn’t make the deadline before all the sites are snatched up. We were planning on just doing BLM land but a friend found this ABSOLUTE GEM and we love this place! It has wifi, which was super convenient for finding routes for the next day, amazing showers that were brand new, and some of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever experienced for pit-toilets. I saw Tonya staining the wooden sides for them while I was there; they are consistently making upgrades and have many plans for the future regarding improvements. Besides that, Steve and Tonya have gotta be the most friendly hosts ever…I’d called Steve ahead of time with a question and he drove by to find us by name before we left to make sure our stay went well. We’ll spread the word and we’ll be back for our spot 😉

Great RV/Camping with clean bathrooms and showers. Camp hosts are extremally responsive and keep an eye on the place. A gem of a place for a basecamp to support climbing endeavors at City and Castle.

They are still establishing this campground, so the trees aren't very big, but this is a great place to stay! My husband and I went last year in September and again this year in June. The wind was blowing pretty hard in June, but if you have a good tent or a trailer, you should be fine (the same goes for any other campground though). The outhouse is the nicest I've ever experienced at a campground (clean and smells "nice" for an outhouse) and they are currently putting up showers (I can't wait to go back when they're up). The camp hosts and the owner were very nice and easy to talk to. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying at City of Rocks Camp & Climb.

True Gold from Idaho! The sites are simple, with quick hook-ups, convenient locations, good-tasting water, and stable WiFi. The camp host and owner are courteous, and the restrooms are kept up nicely. Steve, the owner, is very friendly and interested in learning about your visit to Almo and how they might improve your stay. The amenities offered by this family-run business are always improving, and we're excited about the new shower house (in construction during our stay '24) and what else will come for future seasons.

Big sites, great location for access to rock climbing, affordable rates, excellent wi-fi signal, and clean restrooms. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the visits from the owner Steve. The campground hosts were very friendly and available for check in and questions. We will plan to stay there again on future trips.

City of Rocks is scenic and beautiful. The RV camp is rather bleak. It was very hot and there was no shade. I thought full hook ups included sewer hook up but it is just power and water at this camp. Also, we paid in advance to be able to empty our trash but no one monitors the situation. Anyone can dump their trash there. It's not bad but nothing special

Campground Response

You are absolutely correct about the garbage and we have removed it from our add on options. Thank you for your comments we are always looking for ways to improve our campsite. We realize that shade is an issue and have planted over 50 trees to help, they just need some time to grow and mature. We hope to see you again in the future.

Steve and Tonya are incredible hosts! They work very hard to make sure your stay is the most simple and carefree experience. The sites are clean, easy to find, and conveniently have picnic tables and fire rings. The bathrooms are clean, well stocked, and well lit. It's always a great sight to see Steve and his various dogs (Fuzz, Annie, and Cooper) riding around on his 4x4, checking in with each and every guest, always asking how your stay is and if there's anything you need. This was our second stay at Camp and Climb and we already have plans to come back!

My second time in the city of rocks for some rock climbing with a few friends. I like how appropriately the campground is situated right by the road and within a few miles (~ 15min) drive to some amazing rock formations that allows climbing enthusiasts to visit and have an amazing time. The restrooms now have a little extras and are maintained well, thank you 😊. Definitely coming back soon again. Take care .

The site was as expected / advertized. The Camp host was helpful. We had a great experience. I will say that Rock City Pizza doesn't allow folks with food allergies to bring their own food to eat even though the rest of the party eats pizza. Nice work CRC&C

Very scenic and located just a few miles from city of rocks. The bathroom was well taken care of, and each lot had plenty of room for cars and tents. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. It was also generally pretty quiet after 10/11pm besides the mooing of the cows, but that wasn't too much of a bother. The only issue is that it was extremely windy when we went but I'm not sure if that's a regular occurrence. My friends and I will most likely be returning in the future!

Beautiful setting. Quiet. Owners and camp hosts are friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Hopefully there will be showers there in the future.

Campground Response

There will be showers, just waiting for the concrete to be poured. We are excited!
