We stayed here for three weeks in August. This is an excellent campground, well kept-up, with lots of amenities. There are two swimming pools and a wading pool. Connections to DC are easy, on bus and metro. The staff is wonderful and competent. I loved the walking trail around the campground.

Expensive: Standard pull through $70 a night. Rates are for 2 people per unit anyone else is additional $$$. Sites are seriously one on top of each other. Hard to get in and out. Some sites have to share services and must face each other; I never saw that before and found it really weird. Lots of trailers with 2-3 100lb propane tanks; I assume they are living there. Roads, while paved are severely potholed. No one seems to acknowledge that there is a speed limit which makes it unsafe for kids and adults. They claim to have a gameroom; there were about 6 machines and 4 of them had "out of order" signs on them. Children's park seemed clean and new. Bathrooms were dirty in two different bath houses. Excellent vicinity to DC via bus and metro. Yes Metro can be expensive, but that is not the campgrounds fault. The campground is surrounded by major highways. The road noise was horrible anywhere in the park. I don't know how people tent there. It didn't seem to get any better when we walked around. Too many negatives for us, we will not return. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
