There was an issue with the 30 amp outlet at the site we were assigned to. We went and got someone form the office. They brought an electrical tester and tried telling us that our sure protector was going bad, They were very snippy and rude, and then they just left and went back to the office. We took our surge protector and plugged it into several other outlets throughout the park with no issues. Fearing that the defective outlet would damage our camper we asked to be moved to another site. They moved us to a different site which had a good outlet. The campsites are so close together in this park that the sewer to the site next to us was about 3 feet from our front door and picnic table. This park is more like a parking lot because the sites are so close together. Good luck sleeping at this park...the traffic that is on the highway which is right next to the park is so loud with trucks using their jake brakes all night long that is was difficult sleeping even with ear plugs in. And the WIFI is free, but its useless. For 50 plus dollars for one night I expected more. Needless to say we will not be returning to this campground. Don't waste your money, find a nicer place. Interstate Campground in Marion Va. charges $25.00 per night, its quiet and clean..much better than this place.

Well, against my better judgement I went to the rally this weekend. We were all motorhomes ranging in size from 36-42 foot. We had 11 coaches there. The campground is noisy at night being right near the roadway. They seemed to have an odd setup for power poles and water and some of the coaches had to reach to the wrong side of the unit to hook up. The sewer was on the proper side thankfully. There was lots of 30 amp sites and very few 50 amp sites. It was not an issue as it was cool this weekend. I will say that with 6 to 10 inches of rain the campground did not flood out so that is good. The issue I have with this place is that the workers and the manager in particular is very rude. Have you ever been at a campground when the owner rides by in a golf cart and does not even say hello, nod or wave or even look. He chases everyone down to make sure you have your card in the window of the car. If you visit you have to pay 4 dollars. Ok that is fine but seriously there were no amenities to use there. The thing that really got to me was we were to use the meeting room and he would not open it till right at 8 am or 530 pm. It was raining heavy and we were all standing out by the door waiting for him to walk thru and open it so we could set up breakfast and dinner. We went to a local restaurant for dinner and our business meeting. Would I stay here again, yes but only as a last resort. This could be a fine place if the owners would just be human and say hello and treat their guests as someone who they want there and not like you are intruding. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
