It is a nice grassy open area with just enough trees to shade the ground. A lot of land to take a walk around explore what's there. Good place for a family camp out.The scenery is amazing, of the nice open lake which is great for boating.

I Love this place. My kids had a Great time. The only complaints I have are the dog poop and the fact that the staff knew we had small kids with us and could've warned us that the weather the last 2 days we paid for was going to be dangerous for children to be there and could've reminded us there is not refunds. We wasted 90 dollars because we had to leave early due to the weather.

This is a really nice campground as my family had a very lovely time here. The staff was very courteous and accommodating for everything we needed. The park was nicely maintained as everything was always clean – especially the facilities. We got everything we needed from the amenities and didn’t need anything else. The activities they had were a lot of fun to see and do. They had a lot of things that catered to all ages and families. It was nice to have a place to bring my family to and have a great time making memories and waiting the beautiful nature that surrounded the park. Camp Far West is a really nice spot. I've been there several times with my friends who love boating, but last year we also did wake boarding and water skiing which were awesome experiences! It's funny, I've seen horses and riders a few times and I didn't know that was available, so I may try that next time. I think a lot of lakes around California are catered to tourists, but this one almost seems a little more authentic and serene. It's so easy relaxing here and taking in that crisp and fresh California air. I will say that if you want to camp here, make your reservations about a week in advance; they fill up faster than you'd expect! - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
