Worst service ever experienced. We were supposed to stay here 2 nights, Thursday/Friday last week, but Shaun ruined our experience. My boyfriend, his mother and I had to plan a last-minute trip to Key West, mainly to accommodate his mother because she wanted to visit a friend who would only be in town for a short period of time, and we did not want her to make the drive alone as she is older/hearing impaired. Initially, the plan was for 3 of us (boyfriend, his sister & I) to stay at the grounds while his mother stayed with her friend. We had made a reservation on Wednesday morning using his sister's card to pay for the deposit, but she had to cancel last minute, so we called that afternoon before we left to be sure that we could still keep our reservation with her card on file for the deposit, but pay the remaining balance with cash. We even called in advance to make sure we would be set once we arrived, since we were driving from Austin, TX, which is a 24 hour drive. The employee told us over the phone that it would be okay as long as we did not use her card for the remaining amount. We even changed the name that the reservation was under to avoid any confusion upon arrival. Because his sister was unable to make it, we also changed the occupancy to 2 people (my boyfriend and I) since his mother was only going to drop us off at the location and stay with her friend over the weekend. Upon arrival, I stayed in the car while my boyfriend and his mother went inside. This is when everything went downhill. While he was trying to check in, the staff member said he would be unable to check in because his sister wasn't present for identity verification. When my bf brought up that this was already discussed over the phone prior to heading there, the staff member said that that never should've taken place, and that the only option was to refund the deposit and pay the amount in full. My boyfriend agreed to this, but requested verification of the refund before proceeding. This is when Shaun came out and accused my boyfriend of stealing someone else's card to process the desposit - um, did you not see the matching last names? And why would he care about a refund if it was someone else's stolen card? He then began accusing him of trying to sneak other people in (I guess he saw me in the vehicle, but should've never assumed anything without understanding the reasoning.) Even if he felt that we were sneaking someone in, it was completely unprofessional to single my boyfriend out in that manner in front of other guests at the facility. THEN he mentioned that my boyfriend was trying to sneak more people in because he couldn't afford to pay for additional people, implying that we are poor - was this a discriminatory assumption based on the fact that we are Hispanic? He accused my boyfriend of being a thief, a liar and apparently living in poverty. He leaned over the counter to get in my boyfriend's face as well, trying to intimidate him. My boyfriend was trying to make a point that this shouldn't have been an issue to begin with, because it was the fault of the employee for relaying false information. If you look at the reservation, the employee even annotated all of what was discussed over the phone. If the employee had told us that this wasn't an option over the phone, we would've made the necessary changes to ensure we had a place to stay. The employee did agree to refund the deposit, but it has yet to be refunded, by the way. The worst part about this whole thing was that, because it was so late in the day, we were unable to reserve another spot elsewhere. Not only did we have to deal with this unfortunate event after a long trip, but we were also forced to stay the night in our vehicle with my dog! AND we are out $75 because some idiots at your campground don't know how to do their jobs right. This is seriously the worst experience I've ever had. I will make sure to let everyone know to avoid this place. Also, as mentioned before, that $75 is still missing. The LEAST you could do is make sure that we get our money back.

VERY tight spots. They did not offer help to our site, but after driving to our site we had to go back and request help to get our 40' in. The lots are "stacked" so the back end of our coach was besdie the front end of the lot behind us. We had to have cars moved to get in and out. Our awning was inches from the rv beside us. The bathhouse was clean, but old. The pool was well maintained. We did not use wi-fi or cable. The location is in a very old part of town, at no time did we not feel safe, but we opted to drive instead of bike. It's a great location if you plan on being out everyday (like we did) I would not want to just camp and stay there. As in all of Key West, there are roosters roaming through the park. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
