Are you looking for a campground in Boone, NC? Then Boone KOA located on 123 Harmony Mountain Lane might be the place for you. The site includes laundry facilities. It's open May 1 - Oct 31.
We stayed over this Labor Day Weekend and had a really great time. The pros: the campground is in a great location - in Boone close to App State Univ., near the Blue Ridge Parkway; about a 35 minute drive to Grandfather Mountain and a little less to Blowing Rock. Great places to see and visit very nearby. The KOA staff are very nice and accommodating. They have lots of activities, a decent pool, a large playground and some well-kept farm animals you can feed and pet. They had live music early evening - could have been for the holiday. The landscaping is nice, well maintained and nice mature trees. I was thrilled that they had recycling facilities. The larger bathrooms, with the shower were kept up; the lower with toilet only, not so much (by could have just been because it was super crowded). The cons: the sites are very small and not at all level. We had to borrow some boards to to get one stabilizer to reach the ground. Our TV had to be parallel parked in front of our TT - the sites are pull through but barely long enough for your camper. This campground was packed - granted, we were there on a holiday weekend and it was super crowded - if you are looking for peace and solitude, might not be the place for you. Surprisingly, it was very quiet at night....it seemed like once 10pm hit, we really heard nothing....think this is one of the quietest KOAs or RV resorts we've stayed at - this was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. We would definitely return and are already planning our next visit! It's not for everyone, but it is a nice campground and I imagine even better on a non-holiday weekend. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
