Beautiful campground, very nice host, his name was Ron. we'll go back again, the water was crystal clear in the little White Salmon River. The camp spots were very clean, best I've seen in a long time.

We enjoyed our stay! The park was very clean! I used to camp here as a child and have taken my (now) adult children camping here over the years! It was fun to bring my grandchildren back this time to camp at Big Cedars! We all had a great time! The camp host was professional, courteous and helpful! He was great! We will be returning!

Always a great time at Big Cedars. However, I would like a mute button for children who’s scream and run around past 11pm. But we can all do with less sleep, right? If it’s not children running around past 11pm it’s families blaring crude, rude and expletive filled music at high volume. In my experience they’ve turned it off by 11:05pm. Take your own toilet paper, supplies run out (or are thrown/dragged around the floor) on Saturdays when families come out for the day. It’s a fabulous free day out with clean (or they were clean when you arrive before Saturday and cleaner on Sunday) toilets. The host is always friendly and helpful, he enjoys sharing where he and his dog have been that day. He finds some gems, there’s lots of great recreational areas around that aren’t popular with out of County folks. I don’t really want to recommend Big Cedars to y’all, because I love it as a lesser known, quiet retreat. When the noisy piñata beating families aren’t there that is.

Secluded and beautiful part of the Columbia Gorge region, only a short drive from numerous popular hikes and recreation. The Lower White Salmon River is adjacent to the campground, and offered some great wading spots even early in the season. The campground itself is small, and was at maybe 70% capacity over a holiday weekend in May.The grounds were pretty neglected and would benefit from some investment and modernization. Some of the sites are overgrown and appear untended to, and would require removal of plants and shrubs to fit a tent - barely room to fit a car. Our picnic table bench was broken. Each site appears to have a fire pit. The Big Cedars Campground policy mentioned showers, but there didn't appear to be any, not any signs, etc. - maybe now closed There is a single, centrally-located building with bathrooms. The bathrooms are very rustic - flushing toilets and cold tap water. No doors on the bathroom stalls. Bathrooms didn't appear to receive a cleaning during our two-day visit during a busy weekend. Lots of trash cans and water faucets (we brought our own water, so didn't taste it).

The camp is good , the reservation system could be better . If you look online it says it’s booked if you look close to your date so friends didn’t join us but the camp was over half empty. It should be more clear that you just can’t see. When you get there for first come first serve you can only see the one day and the camp host was never at their spot to check availability. The online and first come feels very disjointed

The campground looks wore down and old. Not all sites had picnic tables and/or firepits. Our site had an overlarge firepit with a broken ring(missing rocks) and no grate. The bathrooms were dirty.
