We were very surprised to see any negative reviews for this RV park. My lady & I have been doing the winter jaunt for 5 yrs now. We toured Bentsen Palm Village, and it is a lovely, well kept park. Our experience has pointed conclusively, that we will only stay in Harlingen or Mission, Texas. Both are upper scale areas, where seniors need not be afraid to venture out, once the sun goes down. In our opinion, many towns are simply not that safe to venture out at night. Mission citizens have been welcoming & friendly, we've found. This park blends well with that spirit. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed at a wonderful RV Park in Southern TX for two months with the total cost of two months less than one month at Bensen Park Village RV Park. Every evening we went in the hot tub to relax and I never had a skin infection. They had the best club house air `conditioned and even morning Church Services. Wonderful large horseshoe and tennis courts. We then headed north and thought we would spend more $ to spoil our selves at Benson Park Village Rv Park. Parts of the road madek and going into their hot tub in the evenings I got a horrible itching rash. It is called Hot tub folliculitis. I went in an urgent care and they took a biopsy and I just found out the prognosis was folliculitis from bacteria in the water. I never had an issue with our last RV park and their hot tub. When I first addressed the woman in the front desk she stated they out source hot tub and swimming pool to an out side company for cleaning. Talking to Keith and his lovely manager wife stated that their company takes care of the pool and hot tub and is in tip top shape. They advised me no one else got this. My Dr stated everyone is different and maybe will not affect others. They denied having bacteria issues with their hot tub. I am still suffering today with issues with my fingers and upper leg. The DR stated it was from this folliculitis. Keith said I was wrong and lying. After paying over $900 for one month and only there two weeks they kicked us out with no refund telling me my hot tub folliculitis was not due to their hot tub. BEWARE. if you like helicopters flying over day and night and Border Control cars everywhere outside the park then enjoy this place! At night don’t take a late walk in the park as you will run into some javelina’s.

The photos you have on this page for Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort are for the resort next door. Wish they had that beautiful pool here! Also there are no trails here but there are at Bentsen State Park just down the road and they do give free passes for the state park.

Poorly maintained RV sites. Foliage overgrown and you are told to trim it yourself. Some big storage trailers at sites take away aesthetic views. Very narrow streets make it hard to park larger RVs.

This park is very unique, as to me it’s more fancy buildings that being out in the woods for a camping trip. They have some really nice utilities that were not only fancy but smelled really well. The park had a plethora of things to see and do that it was endless fun. My family really enjoyed all the wonderful trails you can hike through. There were so many I was in heaven! The price might be a little much for some, but in my eyes it is worth every penny as this unique park has things some other camps don’t. I would recommend giving it a shot and see for yourself! - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
