The Rio Grande Valley has been the premiere destination for Winter Texans for over 50 years.  Acacia RV and Mobile Home Park is directly in the middle of the valley.  It has an average winter temperature of 72 degrees.  The area supports every shopping opportunity you could desire, as well as hundreds of entertainment locations.  The valley borders the Texas/Mexico border and the border towns are full of safe Mexican hospitality and bargains on shopping, eating, pharmacies, and optometry.  We also have South Padre Island, known for its coastal beaches, boating, fishing and many other activities.  If you have tried Arizona and/or Florida, you will be home in South Texas.

Really nice people, no problems or issues. Went for walks and bike rides daily. They have social events at the club house. There are outdoor cats, no issues for me.

Enjoyed a nice quiet, friendly park. Gated. Older permanent rigs, not a high-end kind of place but suited our needs nicely. Central location for birding the SW and Rio Grande Valley area.

We stayed for one week at Acacia. The managers, Gaby and Jay, are very friendly, helpful and professional. Those we met, who are residents, made us feel so welcome. The Park is kept clean for the most part; although, there are some mobile home sites that need some cleaning. Overall, it is well maintained. There are fruit trees in the front and we were allowed to pick oranges and mandarins before we left. The night before leaving, we played Lotteria with the residents in the clubhouse. Everyone was friendly and we had a great time. We will consider staying at Acacia next time we are in the Valley.
